Just thinking of how Yasuda's and Nagatomo's careers gone so far, they were rivals for the starting spot in the U-23 level, with Yasuda being the first choice at first. But look at the huge gap of fortune between them now! Nagatomo a starter for one of World's biggest clubs, and Yasuda trying to convince a Danish club to give him a contract, with all due respect to Danish football and clubs.
Gap of fortune? One of World's biggest clubs? Ok Yasuda now play in Denmark league but really Nagatomo is not so lucky to play in Inter Milan. No at all...
AGF Aarhus have just signed a new right back a few weeks back... and have used up all their transfer money, so they are only signing if players are leaving during this month ... but as I was writing, then it's likely that one of their two left backs are leaving ... The Danish league is btw more tactical and "Italian style" defending in compare with the Dutch league, that dont seem to care all too much about defending ... it hardly ever happen that a topscorer in the Danish Superliga is able to score 20 goals ... in the Dutch league they hardly ever score less than 30 goals. .
http://web.gekisaka.jp/400532_123195_fl He should be back in Japan if any concrete offer by the end of this week. France Football writes that there were few offers for him from Ligue 2 but he haven't reached contract talks with them.
I can tell you for sure that this is not the case... he arrived in Aarhus today and he is going to play for the AGF Aarhus reserves on monday against AaB Aalborg in the Superliga reserve league. .
A video from his first training session : http://kanalsport.dk/indslag/japaner-vil-bringe-michi-style-til-agf The AGF director of football Brian Steen Nielsen (who btw played for Urawa Red Diamonds at some point of his career ) is saying that he has great expectations regarding Yasuda, but that they will now have a closer look at him at training and in the reserve league match in the week to come, but they are positive from start about his trial ... later in the clip Brian Steen is saying that there are two main reasons why they have granted Yasuda a trial, the first is that they need to be sure to have a replacement in hand if they suddenly get an offer on Mikkel Kirkeskov they cant refuse, and the second reason is that Adam Eckersley may want to move on, so he think it would be nice to have a replacement lined up so it perhaps will be possible to help Eckersley on his way to find a new club. .
Well, in the past AGF Aarhus have send some their foreign players on a short 6-month loan to the German 2. Bundesliga ( Nando Rafael) and the French Ligue 2 (Arthur Sorin ), if they for a period of time have had too many players in the team for the same position, so he could end up playing League 2 for a short period of time, if he join AGF ... Sorin was btw originally signed as a right back, but has fairly succesfully been reinvented as a centre back. AGF btw also have a written agreement with Manchester City that send some of their younger talents on loan to AGF for further development.. at the moment AGF got Dominic Oduro on loan from City.... originally he was suppose to be a left/right back just as Yasuda, but it seems that AGF are reinventing him as a winger, just as they reinvented Aron Jóhannsson from a winger to a striker before he was sold, which was a huge success... So you never know, AGF actually seem pretty thin on the wing positions, so if Yasuda has shown potential as a winger in the past, they may chose to reinvent him as a winger, if they sign him. .
Nothing new as such, except that Yasuda did well at training, played a match for the reserves and is still is considered to be an option... right now there is no room in the squad or wage budget, but Yasuda now seem to be first choice if one of the two AGF left backs are leaving in this transfer window.... AGF are btw also considering Danish international Per Krøldrup who is playing for the AGF reserves in a match today, but he is obviously not competing for the same spot in defense as Yasuda.
Lets just say, that the AGF director of football is actively trying to help one of the left backs to find a new club... so something could or should happen before the window is closed on 2 September ... lots of last minute deals in Europe are made on 31 August, but notice that the Danish transfer window is open a day more than some of the other leagues in Europe, which makes it possible to act and find replacements a bit later... in any case, free agents can be signed after the window is closed, if they were released before the window was open. .
