    just to put things in perspective:
    Forlan who was earning 4.5 mill a season had his contract cancelled due to wages and performances
    Samuel went from 3.0+ mill to 2.0mill with bonuses
    Chivu was the highest payed lb he has gone from 3.5+ to 2.0mill with bonuses
    Zanetti signed an extension last year that reduced his wage down to 2.5 with bonuses
    our first GK julio cesar has been frozen out of the squad due to wages and performances and the club actually bought a replacement in handanovic who has a 2.5+ contract(one of serie A's best GKs is making almost half of what julio was making)
    pazzini is in doubt over performances and wages and he just makes 2.0 mill!
    Stankovic is also in doubt but chances are his wage will be reduced since he doesn't play much
    only 4 players our of a former 11 are making more than 3.0, cambiasso, maicon, milito and sneijder
    none of the new signings will earn more than 2.5 unless they meet some criteria(appearances, goals etc.)
    the club is cutting off what it can(looking more towards youth, young coach, cheaper buying/loan options) and this doesn't just apply to us, other clubs such as milan, roma and napoli are doing something similar

    There will be tough times for Yuto. He'll probably play few games, because Stramaccioni doesn't see him so much. Zanetti and Mbaye are on the left side of the defense and Silvestre on the right. It will be hard for him..

    It depends a lot on Zanetti cuz he is too old for a full season (and the incoming season will be hard cuz Serie A needs to end a mount before Confederation Cup). Than I can say he will be a huge chance to obtain a spot in the starting line.

    Mbaye is 18yo, he's playing against weak sides.

    Whispered, that's what pre-season is for. Mbaye won't be a started ahead of Nagatomo, even Juan is ahead of him (Mbaye) and Jonathan is ahead of him too.

    The real problem is indeed Zanetti. Stramaccioni will play with 4-3-1-2.
    Right now, the lineup would be:
    Handanovic
    Maicon Silvestre Samuel Zanetti
    Guarin Cambiasso
    Palacio Sneijder Coutinho
    Milito

    There are a few good news though: Maicon is probably gonna be sold... but Inter will probably buy another RB. Also, Zanetti can play in the attack wings. But I still suspect he will not :/

    Same type of Goal. 2 Goals in preseason, even though one was a friendly, another is a EL qualifers.
    Nagatomo would make a great Winger/FW in addition to him being Full-Back.

    he has been already tried in that role before, with mixed results.
    The second goal isn't a great shoot, but the DF helped. The first goal is just class.

    Nagatomo came on as a sub in Inter's Europa League match.

    They lost 0-2 at home to Hajduk Split
