Great news, will start watching Bolton games :D

Shame he wasn't allowed to play against Arsenal (would've loved to see that).

just a question that pops up.

However unlikely, If Sekizuka want to call up Ryo for the U-23 matches, who would be making that decision, Coyle or Wenger? guessing Coyle, but since they had him on loan to play for them, would they release him on national matches?

This all might be useless question, but I'm just curious to know. Would be great if he can though. eagerly awaiting for him to play for Japan.

If you loan a player then you usually consider him as helping your team, so sending him to the U23 voluntarily is directly contradicting what your aim as club manager is. So there's no chance as long as the player is not called up to the A team on a FIFA matchday. And if there was there's probably a clause in his contract that he might never be released for U23.

If Southampton beat Millwall in their replay, then Lee might come up against Miyaichi.

Should we get to the olympics, chances are FIFA will force the rule to have clubs release their players.

Remember the 2008 olympics and the whole Messi/Barca saga? FIFA forced arguably the biggest club in the world to release the best player in the world for olympics. So that's probably set a bit of a precedent.

    Isn't Miyaichi cup-bound?

    Oh yeah, my bad!

Hopefully he makes an appearance against Norwich on Saturday, seems like an eternity waiting for his Premier League debut.

I believe the precedent went the other way. Barcelona won (in order to set the precedent), and then let Messi go voluntarily to keep him happy.

Who of the two is playing on the left?

I remember Petrov from Wolfsburg ages ago, where he played on the right... so Eagles is their left winger?

Interesting to note that Tuncay came on for Petrov tonight and then swapped wings with Eagles. If Ryo had been available, I think he would have come on. I'll be surprised if he doesn't get game time on Saturday at Norwich.

Last year, Wenger himself said that he will go on loan only to PL teams. Since his WP wasn't that easily achieved, I don't expect him to go out of the UK indeed.
