Hehe, ask Ronaldo, Messi or any other professional player what they think about topping on those 'meaningless lists' such as Ballon d'Or And kicker should be placed as the model for the 'sports magazine' in Sevres.
The ranking refers only to the 2nd half of last season, and there is no such thing as No.11. All players in the pool in the lower category are in alphabetical order. So Hosogai was voted into the best 19 defensive mids of the latter half of last season. Also, if Kicker chooses somebody like Schweinsteiger (who almost had no good game and was injured all the time) into one category above Hosogai, Gentner, Jones etc., the credit a player has built up over the years (or in Jones' case, the dis-credit) seem to play a huger role than to make this list any meaningful. The same goes to Gotoku's rating, however. That said Kagawa is the sole field player who is rated 'World Class'. Which is a news. (Don't know though about the forward category where I imagine Lewandowski topping the list)
Once again, I'm not reasoning from their point of view (and do you really want to put this list and the Ballon d'Or in the same sentence ?). sc-f nailed it anyway.
No that's not right. Sure it's only the second half season but the ranking is a ranking and Kicker is saying that.So when you are on Place 1 you are on Place 1 as the best Player and Hosogai is on Place 11 of 18 and on this List are all Players who are good enough to be on it.Every List from Kicker.de has a ranking from 1-18 for example...you can see this on this List...Jermaine Jones was before on "K-8" and that means he was one Class above on Place 8.Every Player who isn't on this List was clearly not good enough to be on it.Sure, you can discuss now if all the players are worth to be on this List but this you can do on every award for a football player. Say what you want,if Kicker is a good magazine or not but to be on this Lists is every time a good sign,so it's a great Honor for Hosogai to be one of the best def. midlefielders in one of the best leagues in the world. Schweinsteiger was not great but not bad and that's the Kicker saying. Now we can discuss ^^ but the are no fools,so some Points of them are right. Schweinsteiger had a couple of great games in the second part of the season and a couple of worth and that is every rating in Germany saying (Kicker.de,Bundesliga.de and so on).He is only a little step above Hosogai and that's true but that not mean that he has a lobby cause he fells from World Class 2 sections downer and that is much but still great. Its very remarkable, one of the biggest awards in Germany I think.Kicker.de is one of the biggest magazines her, maybe the biggest. One of the best Things what can happen to you as a footballer
To keep it short & no offense: For my part I feel that the way you are presenting us the news of Hosogai being rated by the sacred Kicker magazine as one of 8th-19th* best defensive midfielders** is quite patronizing. *So far not one of the lists have had 18 players, and still the "Blickfeld"-category is in alphabetical order. **out of maybe 30,35 def. midfielders getting regular time in one of "the best leagues of the world"?
Well guys, this is a prize, and it's from a "famous" magazine, take it as it is. It's a good thing for Hajime. This means that at least he shows himself under the light nope?
Sorry,my fault. You're right the "Blickfeld"-category is in alphabetical order,i didn't see this but it's even a good thing to be on the list to compare you aren't ;D and sort out of a big pool like you said from maybe 30-35 def. midlefielder is every time a good sign. Hmm was he not playing normal at Hasebes position he is playing in JNT ? Means he is less ore more a def. midlefielder or am I wrong ? In Nürnberg,Gündogan was playing often this role I think
Bottom line for me is that it's a quite disappointing rating considering Augsburg did really well in the 2nd half of the season, and Hosogai always belonged to their 2, 3 best players, not to forget his performance against BVB. Gündogan is one of the "2" in Dortmund's 4-2-3-1, but pushes forward quite often.
I think it would be hard but he defenitely has the thing to be a starter. He would suprise us again I think, let's wait.Leverkusen is a fair club and normal every new player get his chances there and I don't think the get him back to Leverkusen to sit on the bench, the need some players in def. midlefield after Ballack and Barnetta are gone,so the chances are good
