This doesn't look bad, it is just simple. :)
If I have to choose from these two, the pic from the upper pic is better than the in the lower pic.

i dont think the red trims and number are because of 1950.in that cup, numbers were improvised, some had red numbers (obdulio varela),others had a black number inside a white squad :D ,i think the red is because is one of AUF flag colours.Either that or because of river plate fc. I hope they can change it in time. Black or white logos and numbers are fine for me,black the better.

Finally puma did an away white shirt, they forgot it in 2007 and 08-09 uniforms. It was the main away kit until world cup 1990(puma) and the third from 91(NR) to 2006 (uhlsport). i still think the football national has to adopt an all black kit like the rugby national (they have celeste, black and white). And maybe an all celeste one(lot better than celeste-with white shorts, socks and red trims!).That would better fit the fifa request to have all dark and all light uniforms. I have a celeste short from the NR brand era,it was never used officially but looks great with the home jersey.(like england's third kit from the 80's)

Piffy do you believe me if i say one of my first jobs was covering Peñarol-Oriente Petrolero for copa libertadores 1998,0-0 in santa cruz ;) :D :)

A black jersey with sky blue stripes would be pretty cool.

Kind of like Cerro's alternative shirt.

So ugly. I'll be wearing my Uruguay national basketball jersey (Batista, #15) instead this summer.

In case anyone is interested, I'll be following La Celeste on my blog for The Guardian during le mundial. http://www.nomoreonionbags.com

Yea. I saw it at a local store and its even more hideous in person. At least I have my 2007 jersey which is the best Uruguayan jersey ever.

The white one though is pretty nice. Was hoping we would wear it against France, but appaerently, we're the home team and France will wear their white one.

I think the Uruguay home kit this season is one of the most beautiful kits I have ever seen. The sky blue shirt, the black shorts and the black socks go so well together, in my opinion.

Unfortunately, I can only find the shirt. No online store seems to have the shorts and the socks.

Does anyone know where I can find the whole kit? Help is appreciated a lot.

Try Cunetosan Futbol Mania on facebook if you haven't found it yet. He sells authentic Uruguay gear. He's from Uruguay and uses the same printers as the National team does.

The Uruguayan team Jersey in the CC is the best Jerseys both white (my favorite ) and sky blue.
