Zob Ahan from Iran scored 1-0 2nd half... Al Hilal must score 3 goal .... looks like Seongnam will face Zob Ahan in the final...

little tidbit for those who didnt know but for non K-League clubs, we had 11 Koreans playing for 10 different teams in the 2010 Asian Champions League

Lee Keun Ho (Gamba Osaka) FW
    Cho Jae-Jin (Gamba Osaka) FW
    Park Jung-Hwan (Sriwijaya FC) FW
    Shin In-Seob (Adelaide United) AM
    Park Tae-Won (SAFFC) MF
    Song Tae-Lim (Henan FC) MF
    Lee Young-Pyo (Al-Hilal) DF
    Song Chong-Guk (Al-Shabab) DF
    Lee Se-In (Changchun Yatai) DF
    Lee Jung-Soo (Al-Sadd) DF
    Yoo Jae-Hun (Persipura Jayapura) GK

heck, if just these fellas we're on a team (barring no injuries) i could see them putting up a good fight in the group stages. :D

Half of those guys didn't move to their clubs until the second half of the season. So no, we didn't have 11 players.

thanks for the correction but at least they are teams that participated in the 2010 ACL. even with a huge disparity of quality between a few clubs, its still impressive to see that Koreans are filling up the foreign player slots

Wow what a lame article by goal.com. just reconfirms for the 100th time that the site deserves absolutely no respect or credibility.

Thanks for compiling the list. I actually took an interest in Saudi soccer, hoping for Al-Hilal to advance for the sake of Lee Young-Pyo. What a far cry from the recent past when Japan was the only reliable foreign outlet for Korean players, and they largely went to cash out at the end of their productive spells.

If it wasn't for the 3+1 rule I doubt Saudi clubs would get Koreans tho :D

Of course, Saudi clubs will prefer to get European/South American players when given an option of choosing a Korean player or a EU/SA player. But, it speaks the same for K-league teams as well as J-league and CSL sides. I think we should look at this "Asian Quarter" with a different perspective.

With the introduction of an Asian quarter, the club benefits many things in which they wouldn't have benefited from importing EU/SA players. For instance, a lot of Korean fans didn't know much about Al Hilal. But when LYP began to play there, there were suddenly a lot of media attention from Korea on this Al Hilal team. In addition, although most Korean players who play in other Asian leagues are mostly a has-been, they can still contribute a lot to the club. Take a look at guys like Song Tae-Lim of Henan FC, Ahn Jung-Hwan of Dalian or even LYP of Al Hilal. Ahn, in particular, became #3 top goal scorer in CSL this season despite his old age. :)

You can also catch the Iran vs Vietnam game after the finale. One of the better teams that Iran has brought to Asian games and a lot of showboats if you are into this kind of things.
