You're right, and that means that we won't see the three prominent stripes across the chest. But KP mentioned in an interview or chat a couple of months back that they were looking at incorporating the stripes into the new shirt.

How that's implemented is beyond me. Subtle stripes? Subliminated stripes? Imaginary Stripes? All possibilities.

    Not really.

If DC United does not play in DC (IF stadium is built elsewhere), then the 2 stripes won't make sense.

Each jersey will come with a roll of black or white electrical tape for adding your own stripes if you want them.

I think I saw this episode of the old Battlestar Galactica. You know the one from the late 1970's/early 1980's... They were at this cantina and Starbuck was trying one of his typical gambling systems....

ha. Saw Coffin's post and thought "Hmm... other than the colors that's not so bad, I could live with that..." Then I saw Lowe's post of people actually wearing it. Doesn't look so good, y'know, actually on people. I put it into the "close, but you got a little too cute with the design" camp, where it joins the "thumbprint" design from a couple years ago.

    Brilliant on so many levels.

Not only does the shape of their shoulders + the beige stripe make it look like this image but those wearing it are squares and tools as well.

When I saw it on people my first thought was, vertical stripes aren't slimming. I'll probably eventually get in trouble if I see a woman wearing the women's jersey. The badge makes me focus on the wrong area.

Any truth to the rumor that DC United will drop the "epic" Brian Carroll special for 2010?

I would order that in a heartbeat.

No way that should be worn on a field though :p

I would even wear it. I'd never want to see a player wear it though.

I think the argyle should be red and black instead of gray and black ;)

Not that I'm aware of. Probably a tough sell at this point, but you never know. Maybe they can get Comcast.
