So we've got Morelia in the group stage and Chivas, San Luis through to the knockout round already. I'm expecting a good 2010 Libertadores for Mexican clubs.

Based on the General Secretary's report on CONMEBOL, the board confirmed the decision to end CONCACAF's participation in the Copa Sudamericana, authorized him to negotiate a continued presence in the Copa Libertadores and deferred a decision on the Copa America until its next meeting.
yeah but they don't set up the match ups arbitrarily in the round of sixteen, they rank the teams from 1 to 16, in the semis is when if two clubs from the same country advance to the semis then they have to play each other for the right to advance to the finals, I wonder how they are gonna set everything up, if only 14 teams(+ san luis and guadalajara) will advance from the groups to the round of sixteen,or if they will have San Luis and Guadalajara face off against the 15th and 16th ranked teams from the group stage and the winners advance to the round of 16 etc.

Mexican Clubs: Preliminary Phase Llave 2: México 3 vs. Perú 3 Group Phase Group 2 Brasil 4 Paraguay 2 Once Caldas México 2 Group 3 Estudiantes Bolívar Perú 2 Ganador 2 (México 3 vs. Perú 3) Group 6 Argentina 6 Nacional Ecuador 2 Morelia As we all know Guadalajara and San Luis will be straight through to the round of 16 which will alter the qualifying format a bit. All 8 group winners go on to the round of 16 but only the 6 best 2nd place teams advance.
Argentina 6 could be Newells or San Lorenzo, & Nacional arent a cake walk they are always tough Group 3 will be easy most likely to finish 2nd Brasil 4 could easily be Inter, Palmeiras, Flamengo or Sao Paolo its a tough race in Serie A right now all separated 3 points. Paraguay 2 can be Nacional, Libertad, Guarani or Olimpia Peru 2 will be Universitario more than likely Ecuador 2 will be Deportivo Quito...they are no LDUQ but los equipos ecuatorianos en casa son casi imbatibles.... so in all...pretty tough groups not easy whatsoever
Group 2 looks to be the most difficult group for Mexican clubs IMO. I would think a strong Brazilian club would win this group. Group 3 seems pretty accessible to say the least, a Mexican club should finish at least second in that group. With Estudiantes having to go to "la altura de La Paz" I could even see a possible first place finish for a Mex. club. For me group 6 is a wild card. If the Ecuador club is in fact Dep. Quito, I would expect Morelia to contend for a place in the knockout stage. Besides Liga Ecuadorian clubs are actually pretty weak in recent times.
Id say itll be tough to say right now...depending on how they start off next season and we'll see who gets to go through...remember mexican teams wont have their seleccionados for almost half of the tournament.
Argentina 6 might as well be Boca or River since they suck right now.. and Nacional is Uruguay's best team (next to peñarol).. Actually, Morelia could be in a hard group.. I just know that they will be hard to beat at El Morelos.. ...
if we are gonna shit our selves because of clubs from ecuador we might as well call it a year and don't even bother to show up, and Mexican clubs will have all their players for almost the whole of the groups stage if not all, in the round of 16 and quarters thats another issue, the semis will most likely be played after the world cup.
LDUQ could wreck on any team in mexico right now dude...and when they won it no one gave 2 shits about them so no reason to talk shit about them or any other team in the competition. No one should be shitting on themselvs yet but neither can they be up and happy about their group...Not to mention that not all mexican teams are as good playing abroad... oo y OJALA no se empieze a chillar este año de arbitraje y mamadas de esas! eso es lo ke mas me cae en la punta de la verg@...si la quieren ganar con todo y esos pedos la tendran ke ganar.
maybe you havent been watching them play then...maybe you should catch some other futbol and not stick to the mediocracy of fmf
any team? no way. ive been watching quito play and they are no godly team, did you see how horrible flamengos defense was against quito the other day?.
yeah it was...but check out the entire tournament they took out a River team that was playing fantastic futbol until they played in Quito. No team except Barca is godly...but they sure as hell can play..and Liga can do just that. I can almost guarentee that no mexican team will win it this year even with 5 teams as "competitive" as ppl wana sell the fmf they dont seem to hack it when it matters. ppl need to stop hating on teams that appear to be weaker than the fmf teams but have done far better than they have aka LDUQ...in the last 2 years they won more than any mexican team so to knock their hustle is just a clear hit to hate man.
