Damn can't believe Segares has a low salary when he's been the better player in the list in the last 2-3 seasons. If he does stay in the MLS after next season...i wonder how much his salary will rise. But it ain't shocking because old crappy defenders like Dulio Davino and Claudio Suarez make a lot more than all of these players
Wow, Amado is getting nearly a 100% raise, in a recession no less (though understandably sports teams are not as much affected as other industries). Cool, thanks for the numbers. Cheers!
He was born in Houston, to Salvadoran parents. He will most likely be playing for El Salvador by October.
Back in 2006 he was making 250,000 which made him the tenth highest paid in the league and the highest paid at Dallas. The others in the top ten were Donovan, Johnson, Palencia, Garcia, Wolff, Pope, Adu, Sanneh and Mathis. Then in 2007 he got a raise and was receiving 325,000 making him the second highest paid player on his team behind Denilson who was on 872,736. He was also the ninth highest paid in the league behind Beckham, Blanco, Angel, Reyna, Donovan, Denilson, Johnson and Twellman. In 2008 when he signed with Toronto, he signed on a 350,000 contract. That made him their highest paid player and the tenth highest in the league behind Beckham, Blanco, Gallardo, Angel, Donovan, Lopez, Emilio, Davino and Gomez. Interesting thing with Ruiz is that he wasn't making big money until 2006. Before that, the most he'd been on was 50,000.
