I know we are in the middle of the 2008-2009 edition, but since Saprissa is out, i gotta think in the 2009-2010 season, and i wanted to tell you that Saprissa is already IN, we won the Invierno League 2008 (5th championship in a row

So... Saprissa is IN, who is next?

    Next?

DC United clinched a berth back in September by winning the U.S. Open Cup.

Columbus, Houston, and New York are also in from the U.S.

Toluca and Cruz Azul are in from Mexico
    Marathon from Honduras
    Comunicaciones from Guatemala
    Isidro Metapan from El Salvador
    Arabe Unido from Panama

    That's 11 of 24. Almost half done.

    Ignoring captain threadjack...
(edit: MoRado beat me to it...)
By country, here's the total spots and spots remaining to be determined:
    Mex: 4/2 (from Clausura 2009)
    US: 4/0
    CR: 2/1 (from Verano 2009)
    Hon: 2/1 (from Clausura 2009)
    Guat: 2/1 (from Clausura 2009)
    ES: 2/1 (from Clausura 2009)
    Pan: 2/1 (from Apertura 2009)
    Bel: 1/1 (2009 season winner)
    Nic: 1/1 (2008-9 season winner)
Can: 1/1 (2009 Can Championship winner)
    CFU: 3/3 (2009 CFU Club Championship 1st, 2nd, 3rd)

Does anyone have a breakdown of when these competitions end? It looks like we're not going to see any new names on the list in the near-term, right?

I know this isn't very specific, but I beleive that last year the Canadian representative was the last determined and that was in late July.

This is the best I could come up with:

CFU Club Championship should end in March.
Belize season ends sometime in April.
El Salvador Clausura ends around May 17.
Honduras Clausura ends around May 24.
Costa Rica Verano ends around May 31.
Guatemala Clausura ends around May 31.
Panama Apertura ends around May 31.
Nicaragua season usually ends the first week of June.
Mexico Clausura ends around June 14.
Canadian Championship will probably end in July.

This is the golden Era of Toluca football. Mighty Toluca will dispose of all the teams in this tourney just like they won these titles recently. 6 league championships in the last 10 years. thats more than pachuca and pumas in their whole history

Congrats to Saprissa MoRado. For myself I have been so excited since Red Bull NY defeated Real Salt Lake to enter the 2008 League final which also meant automatic entrance to the CONCACAF Champions League. I know that they will enter the Qualifying Round, but since after this past Thanksgiving I have been so excited to see international club competition coming over here in the NYC area. I'm also hoping that the new Stadium that is being built for Red Bull will be done in time for the start of the Qualifying Round.

    Here's the setup from Wikipedia.

I just saw the Wikipedia page for the 09-10 CCL. They said that CONCACAF is bringing in the Away Goals Rule for the Knockout stages. I knew they had it for the Qualifying Round, but they decided to put it into the knockout stages as well?

    That's an upgrade.
