Well, he doesn't poll as well when his team's not playing well. Theoretically, the same can be said for any other star player. Having said that, what a fantastic half-season he enjoyed. I had still thought that Gary Ablett Jr. would have been worthy of at least two votes in Round 22, in the Cats' home game against West Coast. That would have tied him with Cooney. But in reality, he lost his chance at a medal when he was out for nearly a month with an ankle injury. Tough luck there.
