yup I saw that this morning, that is huge for Parma and Rossi. Imagine that storyline, the player Parma let go without getting much in return in 2004 returns to help them avoid relegation. He should be able to get some first team action and show his stuff to all of Italy.
nice goal by Rossi today, good win for Parma. His explosion of joy and celebration was great to see and hopefully many more to come in Serie A. Like the analyst said today after the game, its going to be extremely difficult but they need to do all they can to have Rossi permanately, probably difficult odds, but what I saw today looked like the start of a new idol.
Parma has finally found an owner. The owner is Tommasso Ghirardi, a rich magnate from Brescia. Tomorrow is the presentation.
He is very young, only 31 years old. He says that he wants to use positive things from the lower divisions and bring them to Serie A. He's going to be in for different ball game though.
http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/index.php?action=read&id=51459 Stefano Pioli has been fired by Parma and experienced manager Claudio Ranieri has been brought in to help save the Gialloblu from relegation.
http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Squadre/Parma/Primo_Piano/2007/02_Febbraio/12/ranieri.shtml A big boost for Parma, Ranieri should bring a little something to help this club. Hopefully it helps Parma and helps Ranieri become an elite once again.
It doesn't surprise me that Pioli has been fired but when your team is in 19th place, most fans would assume that the coach would have been sacked earlier. Ranieri is coaching in Italy for the first time since his Fiorentina days. Maybe with assistance of the new owner, He could build this Parma side into a quality team again. He did it at Fiorentina thanks to Cecchi Gori.
Ranieri's debut in the Uefa cup didn't go well . Sporting Braga 1-0 Parma. Many starters were rested, including Fernando Couto.
Budan says he is having his best season ever despite his team not doing top good. http://www.goal.com/en-us/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=257961
Bresciano recently came out and said after seeing some of the fan violence and some of the culture in regards to the football in Italy his lifelong desire to spend his career in Italy is fading. If Bresc is talking about the possibility of leaving Palermo... then Grells may just as well look at other clubs aswell.
G.Rossi talks about his 2 goals and about Parma http://www.goal.com/en-us/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=283644
it would be such a shame if Parma got relegated. Haven't been able to watch many of their games as they're hardly ever televised but saw the Fiorentina game last night (TIVO). Team looked really good. Ranieri has them playing much better. Any sense from the new ownership that they'll be spending money this summer for some players? If Rossi goes back to ManU, Parma will need someone up front.
The new owner is a young businessman who owns a lower division club and he intends to use some of the methods that he uses to run a small club while he is running Parma. At this stage, I don't think that the club we make any ambitious moves like in the Parmalat days, even with a decent owner.
Today's game against Palermo was a thriller. What heart Parma has. Rossi scored another goal. It's the 80th min right now. Good luck to them.
