Odds are still against them but the signing of Georgian international, Giorgi Chanturia will help Duisburg a lot in their campaign. Also Peniel Mlapa does his best Schürrle vs Algeria goal impression.
http://liga-zwei.de/eintracht-braun...en-interessiert-neues-angebot-im-winter/45919 Celtics are reportedly still keen on signing Braunschweig's Emil Berggren. They had an offer of 3-mio rejected at the end of the autumn transfer window but will likely return with a new improved offer in the upcoming January.
Yeah, Braunschweig have a strong team this season and Berggreen will be an important part of the promotion battle. Either way, Berggren has been a great piece of scouting. I believe management signed him for only about €150,000. In the event he does get sold in the future, Hvilsom looks like he may be a capable replacement once given more time to adapt. Düker will hopefully continue to make strides by then.
Effenberg takes over at Paderborn. Inb4 he gets pissed off during a game and drop kicks an opposing coach.
Eintracht will end up somewhere mid-table this season, no way they'll be in the promotion battle. Way too many problems to score against teams that defend well. While the media has sold him as Berggreen's replacement to hype the "HSV buys Berggreen" story, I am not sure yet how good a replacement he really would be. In Denmark, he actually played almost exclusively as a winger.
Freiburg going all in for the promotion race. Currently leveled with RB Leipzig with 29 points, but well ahead of the pack in goals scored and difference. They're already looking to bring in a few more more reinforcements this January. One player they're really keen on is Fredrik Midtsjø, a 22 y/o midfielder from the Norwegian league champions Rosenborg. Also on the winter shopping list are an additional offensive winger and fullback.
http://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/sc-paderborn/effenberg-darf-jetzt-einkaufen-43536152.bild.html Paderborn made a record profit of €6.5 Mio in 2015, and will receive a boost in available spending budget this winter. Their main focus right now is looking to strengthen their depth in the striker position.

Braunschweig's Salim Khelifi is definitely a player in form right now. Scored the winner over Bochum today. Kaiserslautern storm back with 4 straight goals to beat Greuther Fürth 4-2.
FCN pull within 2 points of 3rd place in the standings with their win over St. Pauli today. Incredibly close competition between the 3-9 spots right now. Bochum has also taken quite a fall lately, going winless in their last 6 matches. On the opposite end, Düsseldorf get a much needed 3 points on the road as they climb out of the relegation zone.
FC Nürnberg sign a new 5-year partnership with Umbro to become the new official supplier of their kits. This contract will begin for the 2016/17 season and run till summer of 2021. Also part of this deal, FCN will receive an additional investment of €5 Mio which would go towards boosting their overall budget.
FCN playing some nice football right now. Third win in a row, and undefeated in 7 matches since mid October. Füllkrug and Leibold with quality goals today, Danny Blum nearly added a third but was just cleared off the goal line during his free kick on target. They now move into 3rd place with this result.

Nürnberg looks like they're going all in for the promotion race. They've just turned down Schalke's offer of 5 Mio for Alessandro Schöpf. Freiburg adding more attacking depth with another striker in Havard Nielsen.
If they can keep it up, St. Pauli will be in the mix for the 3rd spot and promotion playoffs. Freiburg and Red Bull pretty much have a firm grip on the top 2 currently. While FCN might slip a little now that they ended up selling one of their best players and haven't announced a replacement yet.
I hope that ST.P. will be in 1. Bundesliga next season because they are very nice club...with cool fans, stadium and history. Of course, their finance are less than Red Bull or FCN have but who knows... And, thanx for explanation about situation with ST.P
Freiburg will be without league top scorer Nils Petersen to begin the Rückrunde due to an ankle injury.
FCN bring in Zoltan Stieber on loan from HSV. He won't be a direct replacement for Schöpf's production, but Stieber has shown before that he can be an effective player for the 2.BL level. They also have several youngsters who can step up in that role.
