My extremely hot take is that 99% of fullbacks suck and that almost every team would be better ditching them for mobile wingers who are good attackers and below-average defenders.

Hakimi is neither of those things.

Are Spurs better without Kane and Alli?

It sure looks like they move the ball more fluidly.

Pulisic has been iffy again, and will get scapegoated, but BVB had a lot of problems. Poor marking, lack of target play, lack of finishing w/out Reus + Alcacer, and decision-making in each final 3rd.

Pulisic has been the best attacker in the second half. Granted, that has been a low bar.

He was stretching out his quad on the corner right before he came out. He was done.

Once the Spuds found the giant hole on Dortmund's right, it was game over.

Delaney was huge in defense, but he was on the left, helping Puli & the LB. Witsel had too many central duties to do the same for the Sancho-Hakimi pair.

Sancho out, but far too late. It's over.

No. They were terrible moving the ball in 1H, and didn't generate anywhere near the number of opportunities I would have anticipated with Kane and Dele Alli out there.

BVB have been played off the park. Remarkable this team will likely win the Bundesliga. The quality in the squad especially at the GK/defense/central midfield positions is really lacking.

Dortmund might be leading the BL table (for now).

They might look like a Top 10/15 side on paper.

BUT, when it's time to face the music, they are no challenge for the Top 6 teams in the EPL.

I expected Dortmund to be beaten down by the Spuds, and so they did.

Was anyone surprised by the outcome?

BVB have two attacking players who are better than any of the Tottenham attackers, and it matters for nothing because their backline is simply not good enough, and their midfielders were dominated.

Has to be a frustrating experience for Sancho and Pulisic

It's gonna be fun watching them beat the likes of Dinamo Minsk.

Third straight match Dortmund has given up three goals. Not going to win any hardware that way...

All the financial investment for the top 6 in the EPL finally paid off to overtake the better top developmental leagues like the BL or arguably even La Liga, even though the latter has a better top 2 because they spend massively as well.

Simply put, Favre has been outmatched and out managed in this game by Poch.

The truth is, Poch exposed Favre and destroyed his team in 2nd half.

Favre's brilliant plan was to use the three CMs to stop Tottenham attack and rely on the wingers, those two kids, to create going forward.

Once the second half started, Pochettino had figured him out and Sancho + Puli created nothing, once the fullbacks got enough pressure.

That Favre brought his changes only after he was 3-0 means he didn't have a plan B, it was nothing but pure despair.

My takeaway from this game is that the Bundesliga isn't that good.

I mean... arguably the best three attackers on these two clubs are Kane, Son, and Eriksen. Do you mean on current form, or what?

Yeah that was a baffling comment. Kane and Son are clearly better than either (if you view Eriksen as more of a MF I guess you could not consider him for the debate?). Son is playing out of his freaking mind.
