CP steals in box, shoots right at keeper. Spurs playing dangerous game playing out of the back.

Pulisic almost snuck it in at the near post. That time they used teamwork in pressuring Spurs into the costly TO.

Shot from the corner of the 6-yard-box after a Tottenham defensive error goes right at Lloris. Good work to get into the right place, pretty lousy shot, all things considered.

Pulisic is causing Spurs a ton of problems.

He's just not confident in front of goal right now he could have tucked that one in far corner with his right foot it appeared.

Donk touch by Sancho after the great no look outside of foot one touch pass by Dahoud. Sancho either was in or could have slid it across to Pulisic who was making the supporting run. Another golden opportunity lost.

It was a fine shot, given perhaps the option at that moment. I didn't see if Sancho or other was hitting the six, but if so that was the better option.

CP starts a nice attack leading Gotze down the wing, who cuts back to Dahoud, who plays a no-look one touch ball into space for Sancho ... who heavy first touches it and ends the attack.

Teams are like having a mirror match right now... ponderous on the ball, losing in dangerous areas, counter fully on for both sides... interesting match. Feel a goal coming from a mistake at this rate.

He's never been an overly smooth finisher as a pro. To set up what you're talking he would have had to pull a double move, faking right to left and coming back right. Then he'd have had an angle before he reached the keeper. This way the path was blocked initially and by the time he decided to go step over to the left he was right on the keeper. At the end it was a solid effort from a bad angle which could have snuck in there with some luck.

CP set piece from the right doesn't get over Vertonghen, though subsequent bounce of the ball leads to Witsel shooting from 22 as close as anyone has come.

Sancho good run, dribble, and pass. Counter is on! Wingbacks leaving lots of space for Spurs.

Sancho another amazing dribble, combining very well. Looking real good now that he's getting more involved.

I miss the cheeky chip Pulisic from the UCL a couple years ago. But yea I agree he's not a great finisher, it's probably one his biggest weaknesses.

The game, to this point, is a snoozefest in my opinion. My head is literally nodding. Something needs to change, and quickly.

Son is in this game, right? Teams playing like this is BVB's home leg.

    I think it's been fun!

I'd like it if Spurs were more threatening though. They seem to be mostly struggling to keep the ball for a prolonged period, honestly.

Gotze isn't an ideal lone fw when you're chasing the game a little. Because of the aforementioned lack of pressure, but you can't play him in behind the defense, into him on a post-up, aerially, and he can't recover errant passes in defense/midfield.

They've been terrible at addressing that position, and if it costs them you figure that will be the reason. Although no Reus, their MVP probably still in spite of the way Sancho is playing, is a big detriment as well.
