I would like to say that I am excited about this event. I just moved to Mount Pleasant and have been trying to make it out to a Charleston Battery game. I think I'm going to try to make it out to the Puerto Rico game later this month on the 25th. Anyways count me in for the Southern Derby on the 11th.

Was talking to some guys on my USC forum that are looking to go to a Battery game, and I pitched this idea to them. Mostly from the Myrtle Beach area. One guy said he may come to the next USOC match. Hopefully they'll come.

Not really. There are a couple of chain places that I've watched games on ESPN before but nobody goes out of their way to show soccer. AFAIK nobody has FSC. I went somewhere before I had FSC to catch the USOC final and even though FSC's website said they had it, they couldn't find it. We're SOL up here. I know a couple of guys that like it and maybe I could get to a game but both of their work schedules are weird so who knows, and goindownsouth is in this area, but I haven't met him.
dont forget this, we are going to be hosting a fish fry, kabobs, cold drinks and a good time for all Also The match is against Carolina and we are expecting a few folks from the triangle area for the match. Hope to see ya there! Mikey
It's not looking like I'll be able to make it---kids are playing in a 3v3 tourney all day and the family heads out of town the next day, so chances are slim and none that I'll be able to make it, and slim is looking for his car keys. Someone please take lots of pics and post them here so that I can enjoy the festivities vicariously through everyone else's drunkenness and joy!
Blah, it was looking like I wasn't going to be able to come down due to financial reasons and I can't find a decent carpool... but a fish fry is hard to pass up If I don't make this game I'll definitely be down for at least 2 this season. Friend of mine really wants to hit up the next USOC game if/when we get past the Dynamo.
