Not overly concerned. They are a good side and I hope they finish top 4 but the only sides that still give me nightmares are sides that bunker. Soton will give it a go. We'll get our chances.
The other thing to consider here is look at what they did against what are considered the top sides. They were second when they hit that stretch and dropped 4 of 5. Thing is, if we want the title we have to beat these sides. Citeh last season won the league while dropping almost all their points (or all, I can't remember their result at home against Pool) against the two contending teams. They virtually cleaned up on everyone else.
No Bertrand for Southampton so they'll either have to move some players around the backline or play Matt Targett, who's quite inexperienced at the senior level. Could be a good game to start Schürrle
After Everton and this weeks performance though, Southampton are hitting some good form again. They'll still be dangerous.
They are in the top few places for a reason but if they play the game that beats suits them we shouldn't have a big problem. And if yet play the style that suits is least, it's not to their strength which also is positive. Honestly, our biggest risk is if our own players come out flat and don't play at full tilt. Hope we can end the year on a positive note.
Hopefully we are up for it. I was expecting Jose to rotate more but that has not been the case. This is going to be tough.
I'd like to see Schürrle and Luis this game just to get some fresh legs out there, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see the same lineup as last game since that combo has been taking care of business
Wow...no Clyne as well, this is a good chance for us...fingers crossed! Anyone know what's happened to Oscar? Not even on the bench.
There's been a lot of very good build up play but that final ball has been severely lacking. Luis has been poor and it's a shame we don't have oscar to call on to pick that final pass but there's been plenty of positive signs that there's a goal or two in it for us.
