West Ham have had a good run, but it was always going to end sometime. Like Southampton. Let's send them crashing back down to earth.
Very early match on the west coast but one I'm looking forward to. Essential 3 points against a form side ahead of two away matches on limited rest (albeit geographically close). Hope everyone is having a great holiday season if there is one where you live and that people are getting time off work with friends and family. As for myself, I love the fixture congestion this time of year. It's hard to win a title in this fortnight but you can sure as heck take yourself out of the title race.
The holidays absolutely benefit teams with deep squads, and punishes teams that don't. Teams like Chelsea and City can get through to the New Year without too much bother. It's teams like Liverpool and United('s defense) that are more likely to suffer from the fixture congestion.
I feel the exact same way. Citeh are deeper, but aren't as good as our starting XI. I'm nervous about this match. I'm channeling my inner Wrath. This has been an awkward fixture for us in the past and our draw last season at nil nil was one of the matches that cost us a title.
I'll most likely watch it live, even though I'm on the West Coast. I'm up every 2 hours now anyways, so might as well.
We'd best win then or it would be a rare case of a new born infant being woken in the early hours by the cries of the father.
Wish our players didn't go down so easily though. A little bit of contact but if that's Ivan on Carroll in our box I'd be shouting dive. That said, it's another fine example of ankle hacking from their lot as expected.
To their ultra-attacking 7-1-2 formation y'mean... yeah, maybe. Don't think it will make any difference.
It's a foul but the ludicrous attempt to emphasise the fall is what makes it look really bad. The thing is, Ivan's built like a brick shit-house so it looks even worse.
