Schalke are starting a central midfielder and a left back as their 2 attackers.... Zyen Jones and Taitague have every reason to believe they could debut this season if they don't sign anyone in January.

About CP: I've gotten the impression that he's been straining to make a difference and gotten frustrated when he hasn't been able to.

Larsen or Pisczek limping after incidental contact after the ball? Can't tell.

I don't understand that penalty decision, especially after VAR.

Weird. Must have concluded the big step backward was an intentional stomp?

On the plus side, maybe this raises the likelihood that Pulisic comes on to boost Dortmund's attack.

Dortmund just taking turns picking up Yellow cards.

Paco been useless, as always when starting

Meanwhile, Guerreiro was the first sub off the bench, replacing Larsen (who may have picked up an knock).

Would love to see Wes get the winner.

But it will probably have to come from a set piece. Schalke max out consecutive passes completed at 4 - or 2 if played forward.

    Nice work by Sancho.

    But that defending was nonexistent.

Good goal by Sancho, but kind of shocking the extent to which Schalke lost track of him and failed to close him down. It seemed like all game they were very aware about closing him down and having an extra defender or two around to help, and then they fell asleep.

hate to say it but that's the difference right now between Sancho and CP. CP puts himself in that same position but hits it straight at the keeper.

great midfield move there by BVB and sancho. Atrocious defending and BVB took advantage. Schalke look rough at the moment.
