So I went inside from watching six of my kittens fighting over a piece of string and found out it was a perfect metaphor for this debate. Wow. None of these people deserve to be President, except maybe Rick Santorum but he doesn't get air time.
Man, Santorum opened his mouth. Issues aside, he's been the most 'Presidential' of this race in demeanor. Now he's just swatting at the string with the rest of them.
This is it exactly. Romney's $10K "bet" was so smarmy, so sick in this economic climate and so full of himself--the whole action encapsulates everything about him that people hate. The "$10K bet" is the epitaph of the Romney campaign.
Paul is doing better and better in these debates. Even with the severely limited time he had compared to everyone else he was able to nail his point. As typical, he wasn't mentioned once in the wrap up and ABC is rigging their online poll to hide the overwhelming online response to his message but what else is new? Ron Paul is a dangerous man.
Not sure that it matters much. Paul's supporters are highly motivated and well organized. I've now seen several well-regarded political analysts suggest that Ron Paul has a legitimate chance at winning the Iowa caucus.
I thought it was brilliant. It's something that every average American can identify with, thereby helping Romney shake the impression that he is just an uber-rich, self-important snob with no clue about how difficult things are for the average citizen.
