Chelsea travel to Spain to face Valencia (10th in La Liga) in the 5th game of the group stage. Pulisic starts for Chelsea.

It's tight at the top of this group - Ajax, Chelsea, and Valencia are all on 7 points. Lots of tiebreaking scenarios in play, but Chelsea's home loss to Valencia could loom large if they don't manage a good result today. Ajax plays away to Lille (1 point) later this afternoon.

Kickoff is at 12:55 PM Eastern on TNT, B/R Live, and UniMas.

Mount benched for Kante. Have to assume this is what Lamps views as his strongest line up.

To be fair, Mount hasn't been playing well for over a month now. Honestly he has lots of fans because he's an academy product and is English. If he was a foreigner, most people wouldn't care he was on the bench.

I never bought into his early hype. He works hard, runs a lot, shoot a lot (he does have a wicked foot), but bring nothing else to the game/team.

TNT's entire production is terrible. The studio, the analysts, the music, the theme, match selection, and streaming are all awful.

Kate Abdo seems like she has basically given up on trying to make the pre- and post-game shows even decent television, and I can't blame her.

Christensen is interesting. I guess TOmori makes too much mistakes against Citeh.

I like Mount, but the list of people who think Mount is a better player than Kante must be short. He's still a likely sub today.

CP draws dangerous free kick 30' out. Briefly called advantage - CP kept his feet and Abraham got the ball, but no ultimate advantage. Willian free kick slightly high for the attack to the keeper.

Pulisic riding that foul which drew a whistle was beautiful to see.
If he keeps doing that it will pay amazing dividends.

Briefly looked like a CP steal in the box turning to face the goal with space and the ball at his feet - but apparently Dave fouled the guy first.

Chelsea gets their big break for the day - Maxi Gomez whiffs in front of an open net.

CP and Wilian have switched sides - Pulisic to the right now.

Lumpy has too much space between forwards and midfield. Vallencia in two passes is in the final 3rd.

Kante is having to work too hard just to keep some kind of defensive pressure and shape.

Hate to say it but this match needs one last forward and one more linking midfielder. I'd sacrifice someone for Mount.
