I hope Martinique win. They play a more attractive style and are a better team.

0-0 38th minute -- attendance looks pretty sparse. Both teams getting chances.

The official attendance was just over 10,000, but I'm pretty sure there was no single moment when everyone was in the stadium. At a guess, probably about 7,000 were there when ES and Martinique kicked off. Certainly, a lot of the season ticket holders in my section went home after the Revs game.

As a neutral, this was one of the most entertaining games I've ever seen. It looked to me like Martinique decided in the first 10 minutes that El Salvador wasn't good enough to force them to bunker, so they went all out. El Salvador looked as though the thought of bunkering hadn't ever occurred to them, so they went all out too. It's a delight to watch teams try all kinds of difficult and tricky moves. The actual level of play wasn't all that high, but both teams were focused on pushing the ball up and attacking.

I was deeply impressed by the ball trapping of some of the Martinique players (in part because it's what I'm worst at as a player). They were constantly taking long passes down with a feather touch.....and then completely screwing up the next pass.
