He only got 10 or so minutes off the bench, but a nice assist. I know the TV went out for some, so I'll post it here. I seem to have "technical issues" posting on the CP thread. 1180857867202629632 is not a valid tweet id
CP's minutes were short, but this assist was nice and he looked motivated. He and Bats really work well together. They should offer themselves as a duet in the Winter Break. A "White Christmas" of footie...
I didn't realize that Bats basically prepared his own goal. Good work and understanding of each other by both. You often see that a team only brings the result home with such a scoreline and new subs have a hard time to show what they can. Makes sense that the two subs combined to make something happen.
It looked like Southampton were expecting him to try to dribble through... they gave him loads of space to receive the pass and then immediately collapsed on him. Good job making them pay. Hopefully this is a turning point.
weird. Looks like the other tweet clip was pulled. try this. #pulassist pic.twitter.com/o9M6hzBWjc— NBC Sports Soccer (@NBCSportsSoccer) October 6, 2019
It was nice to see the two former Dortmund Teammates connect and then celebrate afterwards. They are both fighting hard for playing time as well so they have that in common too. For all the talk of CP finding minutes... one has to think that Bats will be thirsty for them too w/ Tammy seemingly scoring every game.
A good way for Pulisic to fight for those minutes is to hook up with another teammate like Bats and form a partnership. Prove that it works and it becomes the 2nd half change of pace, especially when the team needs a goal. Lampard will have to take notice.
