Borussia Dortmund starting XI: Burki - Piszczek, Diallo, Zagadou, Hakimi - Witsel, Delaney - Pulisic, Gotze, Bruun Larsen - Reus #BVB #BVBAtleti #UCL— BVB Buzz (@BVBBuzz) October 24, 2018
Sancho on bench. Interesting. He's the ace in the hole, I guess, but would be more interesting to see both of them start. Another match, I suppose.
Stoked to watch some CP. This might be my first Dortmund game of the season. Despite all their talent, Atletico aren't always the prettiest to watch though. Expect a rigid defense that looks to put the clamps down and control the game. Should be a good test for CP.
Yea due to various scheduling things (watching as a west coaster isn't easy) I've hardly watched BVB this year. I've watched more of the USMNT and the new International league or whatever the ******** it is then club soccer (stupidly).
I don't quite understand Gotze starting. He's a few steps too slow for this level, with his recent forms.
Not sure pace is what you worry about when building a team against Atletico, as they're very compact and solid. I don't expect it to be an open, end-to-end game, though you never know.
Not every day you see Reus tracking back that far. Dortmund look ready for this one and obviously Favre has told everybody that they need to think defensively. CP out there dancing, creating some danger.
Atletico take a tactical foul on a CP break and not only is there no yellow, there's no foul. Hard to figure that one.
The Olympic lifts and multi-joint, compound exercises all modern athletes use train the entire body. You can be sure if his shoulders are widening so is his ass and core.
Nice movement by Puli there, placing himself in open space on the left, all the way from his usual position in the right.
Unless he's experiencing a miraculous late growth spurt, his shoulders and butt aren't "widening". I'm sure you mean he is working to add muscle to his slight frame.
good lord dude I've been lifting and involved in athletics my entire life including at the collegiate level. He's working his ass off in the gym that was my only point.
The sort of game that is decided by a single mistake. Expect a 1-0, and I can totally see Puli being the one to score, they're leaving him space.
Atletico should control this for the most part... might be a tough one for BVB. I wonder if their attackers will really get going throughout the course of this match.
