Considering that URU and MEX are also in, that is how I suppose will be the organization for the draw: Pot 1: BRA, ARG, COL, URU, GER, ESP, BEL, SUI; Pot 2: NED, ITA, ENG, BIH, RUS, POR, GRE, HRV; Special Pot: FRA; Pot 3: CHI, ECU, GHA, CAM, ALG, CIV, NIG; Pot 4: JAP, KOR, AUS, IRN, USA, CRC, HON, MEX. There is also the possibility of FRA be also in Pot 2. In such case, the last one to be drawn will play the role of the "Special Pot". There will be a draw to define if it would join the group with BRA, ARG, URU or COL. There will probably a lot of strong groups, but Pot 4, perhaps, is not strong enough to force some "groups of death". MEX, for tradition, USA, JAP and AUS could push such claims, but we will see.
Interesting to note: 4 out of the 5 teams have an African coach (only Cameroon has a foreigner). Re: Algeria - Burkina Faso: How can you have your best player Alain Traore (and IMHO currently the best African player) come on in the 77th minute? I understand he was not fully fit, but given Burkina Faso need a goal the Burkinabe coach has no excuse for not introducing him at the start of the second half! I really think the coach messed this up! Honestly... would much prefer to see Traore and Pitroipa than anything the Algerians have. Not to mention they were crap most of the game and the sole goal they managed to score was very lucky. EDIT: Wrong with my first comment! Only 2,5 of the 5 coaches are African
Yeah did they just get here? I know they use alot of domestic talent and don't follow the Euro-based players as much, but this is probably the worst case of grasping at straws that I've ever heard of. They're questioning their nationality despite both Eric Choupo-Mouting and Jean Matip having already played for Cameroon in 2010. FIFA approved their Cameroonian nationality 4 year ago!!! WOW, this CAF culture of trying to win by disqualification is out of hand...
