Rijeka are the defending champions for the first time in HNL history while Rudes become the 48th club to compete in the various formats of the 1,HNL. Some news items from some of the clubs, while looking at the major transfers for each club too. RIJEKA Matjaz Kek has signed on to stay another 3 more years as Trener. They have signed Roberto Puncec (Union Berlin), Heber (Slaven Belupo), Damjan Djokovic (Spezia), Matej Jelic(Rapid Vienna) and Tomislav Gomelt (Bari) so far while only losing Franko Andrijasevic(KAA Gent). Filip Bradaric and Josip Elez are both staying with the club. Notable departures, Marin Tomasov(FC Astana) and Dario Canadjija(NK Olimpija) DINAMO Marijan Vlak returns as sportiing director after Romeo Jozak left the club.Mario Cvitanovic is the new Trener as Ivaylo Petev left just before the season started. The club's signing include Jan Lecjaks(BSC Young Boys), Tongo Doumbia(FC Toulouse), Junior Fernandes(returns from laon at Alanyaspor) . Key loses Paulo Machado(Unknown), Goncalo(Deportivo Aves), Gordon Schildenfeld(Anorthosis) and Mario Situm(Lech Poznan on loan) HAJDUK Hajduk permanently sign Hamza Barry and Savvas Gentsoglou who were with the club on loan last season. Have signed Josip Radosevic(RB Salzburg), Ivan Pesic (RNK Split), Andre Fomitschow (NEC), Borja Lopez(FC Barcelona B)and Edin Sehic(NK Zagreb). Only departure of note was Jefferson who was sold to GD Chaves in Portugal. OSIJEK They have signed Eros Grezda(Lokomotiva Zagreb), Petar Bockaj(Lokomotiva Zagreb), Tomislav Sorsa(CFR Cluj), Robert Mudrazija(FC Liefering), Marijan Antolovic(FC Koper), Nikolas Jambor(on loan from KSC Lokeren) and . They hope to keep Ukrainian striker Dmytro Lopa who was with the club on loan last season. LOKOMOTIVA They lost Eros Grezda and Petar Bockaj to Osijek while Kosovo international Rrahmini had his loan end and will go back to Dinamo. Ante Coric's older brother goes to the BiH league. NK ISTRA 1961 Darko Raic-Sudar is the new manager, they lost Nigerian striker Solomon who returns to Rijeka but he will be loaned out again elsewhere while Goran Roce(AO Xanthi) Goran Paracki(Wellington Phoenix) and Nikola Zizic(AE Larisa) have both left the club as well. RUDES The big news for the newly promoted club was that at the end of last season they signed a partnership agreement with La Liga club Deportivo Alaves. They hired a Spanish manager Inaki Alonso after Igor Biscan left to go to Olimpija Ljubljana.
