I thought they had no chance because they never do well in KC and then to miss Pax also. Instead they pull off the win and probably no one in Dallas was able to watch because of a CBS / ATT dispute. Would we be ok with never seeing road games if it meant they win them?

Good 'ol OTA antenna to the rescue.

Vermes is going to pull off his belt and give whippings for this one. I think the Wiz whiffed two or three easy 1st half goals. That French forward has to be their Colmán, as he was, thankfully, woeful in the box.

That said, credit to Luchi for showing some tactical growth. After it was clear in the 1st 45 the 4-3-3 with Badji up top and Jesus behind was NOT working in any way, and was struggling to pass out of the back - he made the correct adjustment and suddenly KC looked suspect.

Both Dallas goals came from KC defensive errors. But Barrios is SKC's bully and they, just like last year, could not handle direct play with our little junkyard dog running in behind. KC was without their quality holding mid (Iliea?) and tried to play Zalalem (yes, the 1-time "next great American hope") as the 6 and he was a ghost. Despite that, Dallas could NOT play thru the midfield and the adjustment to play more direct proved to be the solution, but one that points out this team isn't as good at "Luchi ball" as maybe its namesake would like.

great road win. I still believe this squad is unlikely to grab a playoff spot simply because the high-press so easily stifles this team, performances are so hit/miss, still have little to no consistent danger in final 1/3rd and there are a lot of up and coming Western teams looking on the up.

But maybe something surprised us and Luchi finds a good form and runs with it.

It's not often that I feel like FCD stole one after a 2-0 win, but that's how I felt after this one. SKC deserved so much more out of this one, but they were kind enough to put their voluminous number of chances wide or over the bar or right at Jesse.

"Too much time and too much space" once again proved to be Dom Badji's kryptonite. He slides in and scores on Barrios' cross with a defender draped all over him in the first half, but when he had time and space in the second half to line up a shot... guh.

Watching Peter Vermes lose his mind on the sideline when SKC is losing is one of life's sublime pleasures, and Saturday night was good for that.

Have we seriously beaten them twice in a row in Kansas? Wow.
