Nice game and another easy win against a decent Georgia team, clouded by an ugly Podolski blackout though.

The defence looked a little bit shaky before interval (ok, they have never played together with this formation and Hitzlsperger isn't a LB), so I hope that isn't a bad sign for Wednesday. Good debut for Trochowski, the other 'newbies' played solidly as well.

    Yea that kick was...Rooney-like

Surprised a non-LB Hitzlsperger goes in for a full-time LB Fathi...

It was a decent win. Nothing to worry about, but it wasn't brilliant, too. Fritz was solid, Trochowski was alright and schlaudraff made an impact when he came in. So I think we can be positive in regard on the match against Slovakia! The team will never play in the today's formation again, especially in the defence.

I guess Löw wanted to give Hildebrand, Hitz and Hanke a nice goodybe gift. :D

This should be the lineup against Slovakia

    ----------- Lehmann --

    Fritz -- Friedrich -- Friedrich -- Lahm

    -------- Frings -- Ballack -----

    Schneider --------------- Schweini

    -------- Klose ----- Poldi

    Isn´t Poldi banned now?
Rooney got banned for United after the red card in a pre-season friendly.

Any videos of the game online? Couldnt find anything.

Loew said Trochowski impressed and caused Georgia trouble while he was on the pitch.

Awesome to hear to say the least.

    Magath taught him that. :D

Nah, he already scored some cracking goals in his early days at Bayern. He's becoming lethal from just outside the box.

He is simply talented in it, but is young enough to get even better.

To be 22 and having 39 games for Germany with 12 goals and 16 assists is just very impressive for a midfield winger.

I think one of the reasons for his improvement in goalscoring was his change from the right to the left flank. That gives him more often the right angle and position for his bombs.
