Owen goal more prolific than Colman ever was and Atuahene with a peach of a debut goal. I'll take the away 2-2 with our current crisis. We'll be in 5th or 6th at the Gold Cup break (depending on what the loons do tonight). Off for 2 weeks from MLS play, with an Open Cup game (or 2?) in between.
Unimas and the Twitter feeds suck. Why o why is FCD continually dragooned into providing content for this provider. We are number one content provider for this shitty deal. This can't be because they get better ratings. Glad to get a point out this game and the kids are fun to follow. Hoping to get a payback on the Richards sale and have Bayren send over somebody good next month.
Honestly, the worst part about the Univision deal is the SAP announcing team. They suck a great sucking.
I would imagine it's because of our high concentration of Latino players, right? Either that or we made the least amount of stink about it. Dan Hunt just sees it as more games he doesn't have to pay to broadcast.
Honestly, other than the array of goofballs that they get for the SAP announcing team and the early afternoon start times, I've got no problem with the Univision coverage. The camera work and production is usually on point, and they broadcast over-the-air. I'm told that their Spanish commentary is better, of which I'm kind of skeptical, since they do employ Marcelo Balboa for color commentary and he doesn't exactly impress me when he's doing English commentary for Rapids games. Still, I'm currently working on learning Spanish, so maybe I'll get to find out if Balboa's commentary is dumb in multiple languages.
Just to revisit #SJFCD / #SJDAL - Unkle’s VAR decision baffles, based on what was shown. This is “best” angle and you can’t argue this “clearly” crosses the line. Think Mane’s MCLIV no goal. This was NOT C&OE - unless there’s a angle we were not shown @PROreferees pic.twitter.com/SyjTb2OlFV— 3rd Degree (@3rdDegreeNet) June 10, 2019
That angle is much better than anything shown on the broadcast. The trailing foot is on the line rather than behind the line, so if that’s the foot the shot hits, I can’t see how the ball could cross the line. I wonder if Unkle had access to this view.
