I really thought that Barbara never had control of the ball, and thus the goal should have counted.

That's what I thought the first time I saw the kit.

Poor referees. So many weird occurrences to make decisions. I think that is a goal but a lot of times keepers get those suspect contact calls in their favour.

23' 1-0 France right throw-in at box top, down right touch to Diani on Tamires. Diani spins ccw past Tamires down to 1m wide right, crosses to 5m 1/4 right. Bárbara comes out hard and runs self into L.Santos, Gauvin jump-tucks and plows through Bárbara's arms, shoulder-blocks ball through Bárbara's gloves, across mouth into left side netting high. Gauvin spins 270 ccw away from that contact, plows self into Kathellen -- and goes down face-first. Bárbara is also down at 6m center.

26' 1-0 Gauvin and Bárbara walk to near touch and receive treatment. VAR check  If Bárbara was deemed to have had the ball in her gloves, then Gauvin cannot, by rule, play the ball through her hands ...

    27' 0-0 No goal!

She definitely didn't have control of the ball. Could it be the contact that was made between the players that was called as the foul rather than a question of control of the ball?

Bah, not sure about this one. It looked to me that Barbara was late to that ball and that she had no business catching it.

At least some people won't say that the home team has a favorable refereeing. ;)

I think that FIFA forgot the directive that Refs are not supposed to be the focus of the match.

29' 0-0 Brasil cross from 14m wide right, to 10m right post, slightly behind Ludmila. Renard stoops to head away, Ludmila stops and reaches right heel back, hooks Renard in the left hip. Offside: Ludmila's head was leaning past the line :p Renard stays down with some discomfort, resumes.

Thaisa has obviously been watching the Cameroonians. Maybe she’ll refuse to restart :ninja:

It is impossible for anyone not born and raised in France to speak/write good French. Just ask any Frenchman. ;) :ROFLMAO:

UEFA confirms that the no goal was a foul on Gauvin.

Still seems like a wrong call to me.

34' 0-0 Cristiane backpass to circle top, one-touch pass toward box top mid-left sends Bouhaddi racing Tamires(!) for it. Bouhaddi wins by 1/2 step, clears upfield -- ball is stuff-blocked past her down box left. Tamires continues for it, Torrent(?) gives her a light left forearm shove in the back and sends her rolling down. No call :p

35' 0-0 Marta chests ball and taps it into Debinha's path through circle top mid-left. Renard comes across and jumps with left cleats leading, Debinha jumps away from contact but cleats still rake down her left shin sleeve, tearing the fabric. Foul, stoppage, Debinha gets some treatment ...

36' 0-0 Yellow card on Renard. Debinha walks off ...
37' 0-0 ... and returns, with the same (torn) left shin sleeve. Marta fk, down box left, Torrent cedes a corner.

38' 0-0 Marta left ck, outswings to 7m 8-left. Cristiane twist-heads across mouth but only to 4m center, Bouhaddi catches.
