Game: Tauro FC vs FC Dallas Date: Wednesday, February 21st Time: 7:00 PM [CST] Location: Estadio Rommel Fernández, Panama City, Panama Weather Forecast: Partly Cloudy; H 90, L 71 Competition: CONCACAF Champions League Last 5 for Opponent: W-D-L-D-W Live TV: Facebook (I assume) Let the games begin...
I'm personally a little disappointed, but not surprised, that UDN will be showing other CCL games -- involving Liga MX clubs, of course -- and that we'll be subjected to the subpar English language commentary on Facebook. I don't speak much Spanish, but it's still preferable to the English language commentary that CONCACAF provides.
Tauro FC is very tough on defense, and like to press high. A low scoring series is right up their alley. Their attack has been in poor form. They create a lot of chances, but have only scored 6 goals in 7 matches.
I'll need to confirm this on my guide or something but according to my soccer scores app (usually pretty accurate), our game will be on Galavision. Why FCD can't get this on their website (or hell, even the past 2-3 preseason scores)? I have no idea but I'm not shocked.
It's also going to be Go90... which is something owned by Verizon, so you can watch the game on your phone (though not necessarily a Verizon phone) or tablet... which is something, I guess.

I’m not sure I understand the substitutes. Specifically Diaz and Mosquera. Unless Papi was conceding the loss, saving legs and just trying to get out of Panama with a 1 goal deficit. None the less they looked very much to be in pre-season form. Passes weren't sharp, most runs were lackadaisical. Maybe the field was to blame but the game looked to be played out in slow motion. This team needs guys in the box if the game plan is to advance play along the wings. Urruti can’t be the only one trying to get on the end of crosses.
I imagine it didn't help being in 80 degrees with high humidity. They actually had about 5-6 good scoring chances and some were really close. Surely their bad karma can't continue?
I've seen Maxi score some insane goals from equally crazy angles, yet he couldn't finish that "simple" chance at the end of the 1st half. The rest of the game went like a typical 2017 away game. Lots of huffing and puffing but no house down. Nevertheless, should be able to kick these guy's asses on Wednesday. However, America in the next round is scary with our current form. But I'm getting ahead of myself...
There is time between rounds to get into better form. Not so sure they will be able to move past this team though. They will be bunkering for their life unless FCD can get a goal. If they can get one then there's a chance but until that it will be a clinic on classic C. American clutching, grabbing, diving and time wasting. Maybe I'll rewatch Major League and observe Pedro Cerrano's (surprisingly played by an unknown Dennis Haysbert) offering to the sports gods. This crap has gone on long enough.
After such high anticipation, the game was disappointing. I really hope we can score a couple goals, but I don't think anyone is getting their asses kicked on Wednesday though. Maybe Diaz...
