btw, what an awful muck up by Bobadilla a few minutes ago...

Koo has been pretty good except in the box, and almost messes up another great run but finds Kohr who scores to close gap to 1-2.

Bobadilla was really poor today. But Ji was poor as well when he came in. And don't talk about the defense. FCA had it's moments, but overall they had no chance against Leverkusen (with a brilliant 17 yrs old Havertz).

Leverkusens interplay around the box was great but Augsburg let em do it.

Ji had a rough go today.

played on the right wing this time & was instructed to take players on... not exactly his strength.

again, not sure why Baum insist on Bobadilla as CF when they obviously need him on the wing.

No. Quite unlikely. At the start of the season, the team had a vote on who should be the captain/leading members, and the ones with the most votes were Verhaegh, Janker, Hitz, Altintop, and Baier. Obviously the manager has the final say, but if your team doesn't see you as a captain material, it's going to be unlikely.

I guess to be the captain he would improve his German. He's also injured too often.
But Koo can surely become one of the leaders (or maybe already is).

Edit: as zdrstvte mentioned the players who were voted are mostly +30 years old (minus Hitz who just is captain material).
In Germany they rely a lot on experience with a few exceptions.

You don't have to be "old" to be a Bundesliga captain, but there are some common factors:
    • Fluent command of German
    • Experienced and consistent performer who plays 90 minutes in most matches (mostly DMs, CBs, FBs)
    • Often a veteran of the club or academy graduate
    Current club captains:
    • Hector (Köln, LB/DM, 26)
    • L. Bender (Leverkusen, DM, 27)
    • Schmelzer (Dortmund, LB, 29)
    • Stindl (Mönchengladbach, AM/SS, 28)
    • Meier (Frankfurt, CF, 34)
    • Lahm (Bayern, RB, 33)
    • Höwedes (Schalke, CB, 28)
    • Bell (Mainz, CB, 25)
    • Sakai (Hamburg, RB/DM, 25)
    • Ibisevic (Hertha, CF, 32)
    • Frantz (Freiburg, DM, 30)
    • Benaglio (Wolfsburg, GK, 33)
    • Fritz (Bremen, DM, 36)
    • Sulu (Darmstadt, CB, 31)
    • Verhaegh (Augsburg, RB, 33)
    • Rudy (Hoffenheim, DM, 26)
    • Matip (Ingolstadt, CB, 31)
    • Kaiser (Leipzig, DM, 28)

The level of play is so low the match is virtually unwatchable.

Plz, move Bobadilla to right wing & Altintop to bench. This is painful...
