Well, they certainly got fighting spirit under the new coach and are eager to talk through every single decision by the referee. Not hard to see the Darmstadt influences there, scrappy and good set pieces included.
Is it just me or does he seem to be much more confident than last season (which was his biggest problem)? I think Schuster rates him pretty much, which I hadn't expected (not that Weinzierl didn't love him tho).
Ji was always hurt but he finished strong when healthy. He has to show that he can be that spark from get go even as his weakness is, when game isn't coming to him.
Oh and btw he seems to have a better standing than the newbies Usami and Schmid at the moment, which is a big surprise.
http://sport-in-augsburg.de/ja-cheol-koo-der-unerkannte-held-des-fc-augsburg-123-21798 Most interesting part: DA: Your fellow countryman Hong Jeong-Ho went from Augsburg to China for a lot amount of money. Would you also consider that? KJC: I don't think so. I want to stay long in Germany, especially here in Augsburg. But in football, you never know. I can understand Hong though. At the beginning of my time in Germany I also didn't feel well and I was often alone without being able to speak the language. I had told myself that I'd score a goal first before moving back. Then I scored and since then it went well for me and I'm here now (laughs). Other subjects that this article said: - He is often underrated - He is considered a key player under Schuster Other subjects from the interview: - He likes that Schuster communicates a lot - He prefers playing centrally (he doesn't mind if 6/8/10) - He doesn't care about Kicker grades and says team achievements are more important than individual ratings - He likes Augsburg and feels that it's his second home. His family (wife and son) also are very settled in. - He likes the fresh air compared to Korean air. - He also likes that in Germany, he can go to the mall without being asked for autographs every second (which he gives of course) - Also some usual talks about Olympics 2012 and the following military exemption
But that pvssy Hong had a support system in place for him already, a luxury that many other KPA's have never had.
We can't say that yet, because there are also Schmid and Usami, but on the other hand we've seen that Schuster rates JDW pretty much. I wouldn't say "guaranteed" but I think his chances are risen. It's on him to use this opportunity.
At some point you'd think that expensive for Augsburg Schmid would get a look but for now I think Ji will start Local paper thinks Schmid tho http://www.augsburger-allgemeine.de...tzt-nun-den-verletzten-Caiuby-id39079047.html
Ji did well on the right wing. The talk about replacing Caiuby is for the left wing (and I also expect Schmid there). I think Ji is likelier to start for the right wing atm.
Bobadilla has character issues and is probably not gonna be friends with Dirk Schuster. So yes, there is a great chance for Ji, especially given that he seems to have his best form since years.
