LDG was a good player when he was younger but i don't think he has much to offer the KNt anymore. i was really upset with one play when SHM tried a give-and-go with LDG. SHM had beaten his man and was right open in the box waiting for the "go" part after giving. LDG decided instead to launch a soft, deflected shot from 50 yards away.
I guess he really is the most feared striker in Asia ... ... because whenever I see his accursed name on the team sheet I start worrying we won't score goals. I knew once I saw he was named captain he wasn't getting subbed off.
Cheer up. Iran had their days and so will we. Let them have their run because likely chances are they don't have any future proof talent to compete in Asia in a long term. Look at Saudi now, same will go for Iran as well. I mean are they gonna bring out nekounam again when his 37-38? If you looked at their tactics today, that was embarrassingly onesided game. We'll meet again, and we'll surely even up.
