Don't worry, that won't happen on this thread (at least :)), but I would like to see The Gunners jack it up this Saturday morning (I'll be be getting up at 3:00 am for Premier League LIVE and also to make sure I am fully awake to see it without dozing off), as we looked absolutely horrible in that first half, we are all fortunate that Liverpool got a late equalizer at home to The Team With NO HISTORY, and that their star GK Simon Mignolet bailed their asses out after conceding a penalty, so we must take advantage of the fact that they only shared the points and didn't take all 3 out of Anfield.

I was surprised Costa got that PK call tonite. After all it was Costa... embellishing. Any chance they picked up injuries tonite like we did? Wishful thinking.

Yeah when I first saw it, I thought it was a dive by Costa. Thought for sure the ref was going to book him. But the replay showed contact and it was the right call.

I just want some nice hard tackles put in on Costa this Saturday.

It was contact. And it was a dive. What are the rules about that? If it's a legit foul/PK, but the victim embellishes it, is that grounds to cancel out the PK? Or can they award a PK and also give a yellow card to the diver?? I've certainly never seen that!

Ha. A pk plus a yellow for embellishment would probably be fitting. I thought it was a foul on replay though.

If you're wondering about why I spelled "Chelski" in the way that I did, I did it because Roman Abramovich seems to think he can BUY the title this season, it's spelled:

cents sign, h, Euro sign, Pound sign, Dollar sign, k, i.

Sheer brilliance and pure genius!!! I'll bet none of you ever thought of doing that in previous threads involving us playing The Team With NO HISTORY!!!

As for a prediction, it will not be pretty, expect a ton of bookings (I just sure hope that Mike Dean is not refereeing this one like he did last year when we played at the Bridge), maybe a sending off, and it will be a 2-1 squeaker to The Arsenal!!!

    COYF'n'G!!!

BTW, what do the bookies in Vegas have on odds that Diego Costa will (FINALLY) be sent off in this one???

One of our greatest victories ever away to Stamford Bridge, March 25, 2003, the 2003 FA Cup Quarterfinal replay away to Chelsea, it was NO CONTEST then as will be the case this Saturday morning at 4:30 am. COYF'n'G!!!

Wouldn't be surprised if we get a decent result and then shit the bed against Hull. You just don't know which Arsenal is going to show up and that is maddening.

Good question, but here's who are unlikely/missing:
*Ramsey is out apparently w/ calf strain (frankly doesn't bother me much as he's been poor)
*Ox picked up a knock (knee) that he had no choice but to play through, so I bet he's iffy
*Elnenny is still in Africa, plus I heard he too got injured in some way, so he's sitting out their semi today
*Xhaka is still suspended of course

p.s. This thread seems almost like the old days! Created as early as it could be, and quite a few posts already, 3 days before KO even!

Our record there is absolute garbage. We beat them at home this year, but a draw would be a miracle there, given their confidence now.

Confidence is overrated, but we might be starting Coquelin and AMN in midfield, so

Yum. That goal by Lauren. My jaw dropped at the time. But not quite as much as with Kanu's final goal 4 years before that. Pretty sure I was screaming my head off. This is one out of a dozen or two Arsenal memories that'll be forever etched into my brain. :D

If Liverpool (away at hull) and Man City (Swansea City at home) both win and we lose then we're down to 5th.

I don't know what you mean. Didn't notice anything wrong w/ Mustafi. I thought we only had 2 new injuries this week: Ramsey & Elnenny. And possibly Ox??
