Messi should’ve been at least 3rd based on individual performance.

But Portugal voted Messi #1, and Ronaldo #2.

So Ronaldo’s country did not vote for him either.

Yeah, Messi was by far the best player last season, and even after that his own country doesn't support him. That's fcked up.

Yeah, unfortunately CR7 with way more CL and World Cup goals (cold dose of reality, but facts are facts). Not sure what planet the people voting for Messi were living in the past 8 months[?]. Obviously Messi is the best, but that’s not how Ballon d’Or works or ever worked.

It would be one thing if Messi had 80-90 goals while nobody else was even close, but when you only have 3-4 more goals than the chasing pack and don’t have a memorable WC or CL then you are not going to win Ballon d’Or in a WC year.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic when asked about his opinion on Luka winning the Ballon D'or:

"Now we know it was Perez who was competing with Messi on Ballon D'ors, not Ronaldo"

Madrid has always had hand in every pie, easiest cl draws (relation to elo), ref help in every tough draw, referees carrying them in liga, no transfer ban from Fifa like Barca and Atletico got and so on. Now that Fakenaldo admitted he's not good enough for Spain, some random players from Uefadrid wins all the best player titles. :giggle:

Mourinho fielding a Copa del Rey-type starting XI against Arsenal in a league match that is basically a must-not-lose if United have any chance of playing in CL next season!

At this point, it has become clear that Mou has either lost his marbles completely or is actively trying to get fired (or both).

Weird but what is ManU's strongest 11? I see Pogba is on the bench, Lukaku and Mata and Fellaini too, but I just don't know which regular starters are missing and they have equalized.

Pele is more arrogant and this statement he made further proves it.

"played well" hmm.. I mean, they would have lost with VAR. And Arsenal probably had the better of the play, especially second half. United were also at home. But yeah... the bar is set so low for United lately that this qualified as a surprising success.

So far all 13 teams to advance to the octavos de final of Copa del Rey play in the first division. Only 2 lower division teams remain and they are rivals: Racing Santandar and Sporting Gijon.

Gijon look already through at halftime, Eibar would need 5 goals at this point as they are down 0-4 on aggregate and Gijon have 2 away goals already today. Santander are not even in Segunda and are already down an away goal from the first leg, so much less likely but that game hasn't even begun.

Of course as I wrote that Barca's Cucurella pulled one back for Eibar, just 4 more to go.

    ——————-

Now I know this thing Ballon D’Or is completely staged. One of the newspapers has been closed for 6 years, and the journalist does not even exist —yet his vote was registered (see article below).

    http://www.sportbible.com/football/...tml?source=facebook&__twitter_impression=true

Before I was still willing to give France Football the benefit of the doubt, but they flipped one journalist’s vote upside down, and then completely fabricated another journalist’s vote.

Come on....this award is useless, irrelevant, and complete garbage.
