CCL 2011-12 Prelims: Full Schedule Released

Posted on June 24, 2011 4:26 pm

I should clarify that what CONCACAF published today is not final – we’re all still waiting on the last match of the Canadian Championship a week from tomorrow – but we now have the schedule for the first round of the next Champions League.

You can check out the above link for the dates and times; as for The Regional Review, I will publish the schedule for each Matchday on the Monday before, as part of a preview along the lines of what I have done for the Gold Cup.

The last CCL was entirely available on CONCACAF TV from the group stage on, but I will ask ahead of time if the preliminary round matches will be covered there as well. If not, then Fox Soccer Channel will cover the matches involving MLS teams here in the US, while Telefutura and Galavision will certainly show the games involving Mexican teams, along with possibly the Motagua-Municipal series. I’m pretty sure GolTV will show the matches featuring the Canadian champion in Canada. As for the rest of CONCACAF, all of the matches involving Central American teams should be broadcast by their respective national channels (except possibly Real Esteli); and the games featuring Santos Laguna and Monarcas Morelia will be shown on ESPN throughout Mexico, Central American and the Caribbean.
