How can we stop CONCACAF corruption?

So rsl is in the Final of the Concachampions. The 1st time a team from their league has reached the Final since the year 2000. That’s right, since Al Gore fought W for the presidency. When Britney Spears was still doable. And before 9/11.

This is the 1st Final for a usa team since the CCL format was implemented. A big accomplishment right? And that league has won 2 CONCACAF club titles before. Big accomplishments too? Let’s look at the 3 more closely.

In 1998, DC United won the title in a single leg Final which was played in RFK stadium. They had full, unearned, 100% home field advantage. They didn’t have to earn it on the pitch. It was HANDED to them. Imagine if it was a proper 2-legger. Do you think DCU would have won down in Toluca? Or merely done enough to win on aggregate? Haha, I think it’s safe to say that the 1998 CONCACAF Champions Cup would be in Toluca’s trophy case if DCU wasn’t given such an enormous undeserved advantage.

Two years later, the Galaxy wins it all. 2 Legged Final this time? NOPE. Full, 100%, undeserved home field advantage again. WTF. The CONCACAF once again helps out a usa club. When was the last time a Mexican club held the entire tourney at their home? It’s ridiculous and corrupt.

Finally, we’re in the midst of usa club football’s 3rd accomplishment. rsl in the Final. They musta trampled some Mexicans on the way, huh? NOPE. Warner and friends rigged the draw to give rsl the minnows Crew and Saprissa. Plus, they have home field advantage in the Final even though their opponent went UNDEFEATED so far in this tournament. This is almost like a WWE storyline. You know, where Vince McMahon helps out the heels to win by cheating.

Is it so hard for CONCACRAP to reseed after every round? They have the time. Just redo it the second you know who the teams are, based on record so far in the tourney. But no, CONCAshit has to rig it as much as they can to help a certain league win. Absolute bullshit.

To be fair, the Mexican League is the one who bends over to get plowed in the rear by Uncle Jack. Did a single owner of 1 of the Mex clubs involved at least call CONCACRAP offices after the draw? I woulda been like, “WTF yo! Why you gotta do us bogus like dat!?!”.

The sad thing is that the media is giving CONCACA the benefit of the doubt. They are assuming that CONCA’s official stance is that they want to ensure an international Final. But the CONCACAF never said that, officially. Ostensibly, it was supposed to be a random draw. But we all know it wasn’t. Which is what makes it more of a sham.

So there you have it. Three accomplishments by that league, all tainted because of CONCAhelp. This CONCAssitance and CONCAcatering is in addition to the FIFA mandate that requires networks to air MML games if they want to bid on the World Cup. That’s right, if a network wants the ultralucrative rights to the world’s biggest event, they have to sign a contract to air and pay the MM League. Unbelievable. What’s next, government funds? Will we see on our paychecks money taken out to pay the MML tax?

I believe in self-sufficiency. There is more pride in what you accomplish on your own than with a benefactor doing it all for you. In a way, MML fans should be somewhat ashamed that their league gets so much help. I’d think it somewhat embarrassing. It’s like the dork in school who the teacher forces everyone to play with, even though no one likes him. Sad sad sad.

So finally, I ask anyone who might read this: How can we stop this CONCAcorruption? Twitter campaign? Facebook? Email? We have to do something to stop this shit, otherwise the next thing we’ll see is someone run on the pitch with a steel chair while the ref is turned around. He’ll smack a player to enable rsl to score, then the ref will turn back around and count the goal. Cue the nWo theme song…
