Wow, San Antonio is going to be very, very tough to beat. They were already probably the best team, and now they just signed Van Exel and Finley. Wow....

I bet they mix it up with both him and Van Exel coming off the bench and starting at various times throughout the season. That way they can save the legs of both of them for the playoffs.

The other Mavs called him "Coconuts" because he had a pair of them in his shorts. Quite possibly the best nickname (and the worst mental image) in the NBA.

As for the Finley signing, I guess that's it for Brent Barry? It might be fine in the regular season when they want to keep minutes under control, but in the playoffs, they're going to go with an 8-man rotation and Barry seems to be the odd man out.

I'm not crying about that and if they need Barry they'll still have him.

News said Finley is going to back up Manu, but as the season goes Pop has already shown he is more than willing to change things up.

So Eddy Curry still hasn't signed with the Bulls and he's still waiting for a sign and trade offer that the Bulls aren't willing to go through with.GM John Paxson still insists that Curry go through with the DNA test and then sign the Bulls of 5.4mil. for this year. I don't know what to make of this situation.I get the feeling Curry doesn't want to come back to the Bulls according but if I were in his situation I think the DNA test for my own safety. Here's an article by Sam Smith concerning Curry

IMO Curry is being a dumbass. The Bulls say they only want to do it to test for the one specific condition to assure he won't die on the court like Reggie Lewis or have to retire and continue to get paid by them.

Curry and his people are saying the DNA testing can be used to look into other conditions as well and he has a right to privacy.

Well then, get it in writing from the Bulls that they will only look for that one specific condition. Simple as that.

The Bulls already stated that they were only going to look into the results concerning his heart everything else was of no concern to them

Yeah, but he either doesn't believe them (thus he should get it in writing) or he knows what they will find and that he won't be making any more big bucks.

Latest update in the Eddy Curry saga has the Knicks reportedly offering Tim Thomas and Mike Sweetney as part of a sign and trade.John Paxson won't bite though,he's not going anywhere at least that's what I think.Curry has a lot of potential and he's shown that.Isaiah Thomas is desperate to put a bonafide contender together even at the risk of having Curry keel over on the court,I think they're the only team interested in him.One more reason to hate the Knicks and Isaiah.

According to Dime mag Knicks have pulled it off:

Like we said the other day, the past few years have showed that when Isiah Thomas wants a player he goes out and gets him. Well, Isiah has done it again. Eddy Curry is a New York Knick. Details are still trickling in, but it is believed that the Knicks traded some combination of Tim Thomas, Michael Sweetney, Trevor Ariza, and/or David Lee for Curry and possibly Janerro Pargo.

The Bulls had offered Curry 400k for the next 50 years if he had failed the genetic test.

F them all. Thomas does go after players, but he picks the worst players. Knicks are going to regret this.
