In case no one's mentioned it: From Dusk till Dawn was a great movie for the first 45 minutes... then it turned into a cheese-fest for no apparent reason.
I loved Training Day, but they really should have ended the movie right after they killed the old guy and Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke drove off into the sunset. After that, it turned into a generic cop drama, with Ethan Hawke being saved by the good deed he did earlier, him having a shootout with Denzel and the whole neighborhood turning against the bad cop. Also, the whole "ever have your shit pushed in?" discussion just disturbed me.
My VCR was put through enough. The opening in the quicky mart is still one of my favorite scenes of all time.
Signs. As soon as we found out that water destroyed the aliens, the movie just lost all plausability. Lucky they diddnt invade during the rainy season, eh?
So true. I bring up this point everytime I hear someone say they liked Signs. I also agree with hating the ending of Chasing Amy. It just pissed me off that I invested an hour and a half of my time to find out all three major characters were gay.
Yes, it was very thoughtful of those aliens to invade a planet that's 75% water, and not wear any sort of.. I dunno.. RAINCOAT?
--- i like a good long kiss...but there's no way i would tell a woman that i believe it ( they ) should last all flippin' day!
i felt completely ripped off when i found out that John Nash (A Beautiful Mind) was delusional. it's dishonest for the camera to show things that aren't there when the audience cannot tell from the immediate context that they aren't there. other than that, good movie.
I wouldn't say it ruined the film, but Hillary Swank's family visiting her in the hospital could've been done much better. We get it, the family is a bunch of rednecks who don't give a crap about her, but there was no need to turn them into cartoon characters. Still love the film though.
The movie Tears of the Sun was pretty decent until the ending where some how a few soldiers were able to elude a whole army only yards away, then conviently two jets come and save the day. I really enjoyed Anger Management until the totally outrageous ending. I just couldn't shake the fact that so many people were in on the rouse and that staging something like that would cost a small fortune.
I used to live in Missouri. For 12 years. I've met people like that. Some people simply are cartoon characters.
