He’s a disappointment for sure. But Radja played as an attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 and was generally not nearly as good in a 2 man midfield. Cristante has never gotten the chance to play as a wide CM in a midfield 3 or as an AM which were Ninja’s positions. Nainggolan was also often poor playing in the same role Cristante is now.

I’m pretty sure Cristante played as a mezzala under EDF. And just look at his technical ability, do you really think he’d do well there? His technical ability is lacking big time. Awful touch, can’t dribble, can’t pick a pass, not quick turning with the ball, decent shot, that’s it. He’s played as an attacking mid before for us last year a couple times and did nothing.

Can you all please stop mentioning Ninja and fcuking Milhouse in the same sentence. It's upsetting me.

Dont even mention them in the same post. Better yet, the same thread. I could go on.

Judging him on a few games in that position isnt long enough. I think he could be do ok in AM with the right manager again. Hes big and strong, awkward but gets shots off and scores. That position is not here though. He is not good enough technically to play further back in midfield. Ok against bottom teams but against the likes of Juve. No
