Answering my own question above. Russian fans are also awaiting ballot results as er a Russian fan on facebook.
The KNVB had 5,500 unsold tickets for a potential Dutch semi final..So if it is England v Netherlands (if both win their groups etc etc) then they are asking for those to e given to England fans. Of course they cannot be allocated until all possible semi finalists in that path have 5,500 or more unsold tickets.
Just received an email from English FA to say the ballot results for members has been delayed for a few days as there had been quite a few messed up applications. UEFA are sending EURO 2020 application results We're pleased to confirm that the ballot for England tickets at EURO 2020 has been conducted and returned to UEFA for verification. Upon review of the application data submitted to UEFA by Travel Club members, we found a number of issues and as a result it has taken much longer than expected to complete the ballot. Many of the issues identified included: Invalid personal details - this included members who did not spell their names correctly or submitted names which did not match the membership associated with their FAN number. Duplicate applications - the ticket policy for this tournament is one ticket, per Travel Club member per match, any duplicates identified were removed. General sale duplicates - we cross-referenced the ballot data with UEFA's general public sale to identify members who have already been allocated tickets. Non-members - a number of non-ESTC members were identified to have applied for tickets using the FAN numbers of valid ESTC members. England's EURO 2020 fixtures England v Croatia, 14 June England v TBD, 19 June Czech Republic v England, 23 June We've endeavoured to resolve as many of these issues as possible and are awaiting confirmation from UEFA that all application data is now in order. Providing UEFA are happy with the data, we expect them to email lead applicants with application results within the next few days. It's not possible to amend your application; please do not call the England Supporters Travel Club to check your application as we are unable to provide results until UEFA have sent emails to lead applicants.
Didn’t realise being successful applicants in the general ballot could not apply on the team specific sections. Why this data could not have been sorted back in December.,,,, (Get FIFA in running this)
You could still apply through your FA as long as you didn’t apply for a game you had already got in the general ballot or a match on the same day.
The clue The clue will be when there are 10 pages of contributors, many of whom we have never seen before.
Hello all It’s been a while (well, since 2018!) but great to see familiar contributors. Nothing in London yet. I applied in round 1 and got some tickets for a few (including opening game). Also have a few I wont use (like Wales - Turkey as can’t get to Bilbao that weekend. But - for this round, I applied for all the good ones again - up to final. I applied in general ballot though (not as an England fan or travel club) as I have a feeling there may be a better chance of securing tickets that way. We will find out!
I don’t know, they wrote here, but I repeat now you can safely buy tickets for matches in Baku by code BAKU2020
I am wondering if it all might have something to do with the platform that sells the tickets. They are going to want to let people buy tickets as soon as they receive their emails. Perhaps there is an issue with having the portal open to allow team supporter purchases while also allowing the sales for the general ballot. I’m thinking that until the England mess is sorted and the ticket window closed for this tickets, the general ballot ticket window won’t be available. Obviously just guessing like everyone else.
