4-0 is a good way to bounce back but we still have a couple matches to go. And I like that it was 4 different players who scored and not just one or two people.

Saw the 4 goals omg.... Ecuador’s defense and goalie must have been confused that the yellow players are not on their team haha

And both Herrera and Atuesta assisting and setting up assists.

The team looked great today, but Ecuador looks like the punching bag of the tournament.

Carracal, at this very early stage, is clearly the player of the tournament so far. 2 golazos and 2 stellar assists. Like Quintero-style assists.

all goals are the goalie comes out ... 6 defenders on the scorer and no one defends. The ball goes in

I´m sure some of these kids will be world class. It's almost impossible in one generation there are half a dozen super talented ones and then zero, specially when now that people are paying attention on Colombians.

Too bad I can't see these matches, just can't wake up in the middle of the night.

Morelos, Davison misses out by 1 year. We actually gave a super solid 1996 crop of players. We would have also had Montero at goal which will probably be the case if this team makes it to Japan.

Luis Diaz, Alzate(plays rb mostly now), Cuesta, Lucumi missing from the defense who would hopefully make the olympics

    Don't forget Sinisterra and Suarez.

This generation is a legitimate gold medal contender...if everybody was available.

Okay, so Argentina gave us a helping hand last night.

As long as we beat Venezuela and tie Chile we should be in the 2nd stage.
(But of course we should play to win and not take anything for granted. And as we all know Venezuela can be a pain in the arse)

Argentina are no joke; their defense was amazing and clearly not just a fluke when they were against us...chile was with golden chances like us.

And in the other group surprisingly Bolivia beat Uruguay 3-2 making me feel somewhat less embarrassed by our friendly and oddly enough despite losing to paraguay who lost to uruguay....that group is unpredictable!

That being said, I have confidence that we can be in the top 2 teams to qualify for the Olympics if we do make these next 2 matches count. Hell winning over Chile would be the best way to get into the next round and fill our team with confidence and high morale.

If we beat Venezuela convincingly and get a positive result against Chile I will be where you are at.
As of right now though I think we still have a way to go before being confident we can qualify. We more than likely have to beat either Brasil or Argentina. I hope it happens but I am just not there yet.

    They were beatable though.

The only team that's truly been head over shoulder above the rest is Brazil. They look scary, even though their finishing isn't perfect.

Didn't expect Chile to lose to Argentina, but that makes our last match all the more difficult.

Nah, Brazil aren't invincible. We outplayed them completely in the second half, with Solano as manager.

I think Argentina are the best team right now.

I didn't see the 2nd half, so I'll take your word for it. Brazil was far better in the first half.

Argentina did not look particularly special against Ecuador, who I think we can agree is the worst team in the tournament...

All we did was start pressing in the second half, something we didn't do in the first. Brazil found themselves on the ropes.

They also beat a very bad Uruguayan team. I have no doubts our group is weaker than yours.

We're repeating the lineup from the Ecuador match. Definitely prefer these two center backs.

Only weak link against Ecuador was Alvarado, who's usually quality. But Reyes should have Andres Balanta warming up quick if Venezuela start taking the game to us.
