Max Alvarez is now in the NPSL with Napa Valley 1839 FC https://www.mlssoccer.com/league/official-rules/mls-roster-rules-and-regulations#discovery-list Nice player. Perhaps it is an indication of the better quality of players in USL?
Namenja Vukovic just signed with Tulsa... https://www.roughnecksfc.com/news_article/show/912181?referrer_id=2689357 He was considered a defensive liability in Indy and had been playing in the MF.
Emrah Klimenta started at right back for the L.A. Galaxy today against Montreal Impact. https://www.rotowire.com/soccer/mls-lineups.htm Edited to include link
Klimenta released by Galaxy today. It's a brutal business..... http://cornerofthegalaxy.com/2018/0...-sheanon-williams-and-release-emrah-klimenta/
Totally brutal.. they must not have liked what they saw. I watched some of the games he started in, he had some shaky moments but nothing crazy for a guy getting his first experience at that level. I wonder if there is anything else to the story or if it was just the performance on the field. Should have given him more than 2 games to see what he could do though.
The article has few details, but James Kiffe has signed with Charlotte Independence. https://www.uslsoccer.com/news_article/show/945433 I don't know why we can't get him back. Charlotte does have a MLS affiliate (Colorado).
Probably because Gomez is here now, so bringing him back would be in a situation where they’d have to let him go or pay him to sit on the bench. Sucks because I’d rather have Kiffe back.
I guess. Maybe I'm confused, but Kiffe plays LB mostly, and Gomez is a better RB(?). So, the left side is locked down, that leaves you with your choice of Klimenta, Gomez or Hord on the right, or you could move Hord to start or be decent depth at RW and RB is still covered in case we need Klimenta at CB. Then again, what I really want is a stable and reliable backline. Kind of late in the season for more musical chairs.
Bummer, would like to have seen Adam Jahn back in Old Glory Red. https://www.phxrisingfc.com/news_article/show/975838
Josh Cohen update. Three starts and one half-time sub in. One goal allowed. Has started the last two league games. He may have won the starting job?
