I have a problem with Ruiz. He had a lot to do in Argentina's goal and in general is very insecure, at least in the first half, where Argentina could easily scored another two. Other then that the team is creating chances but the whole defense seems a bit shaky and it's not that Argentina is that good. 1-1 at half time, golazo de Carrascal.
Carrascal has been great in this match. He's been helping maintain the momentum with good reactions towards moving the ball with dribbling and passing. I hope that this inspires the others to do the same.
Yeah, good match so far. The center backs are playing like bulls. Carrascal and Benedetti have each created some great opportunities. Of course, both need to get on the ball a bit more. The bad: Balanta got injured when he was a huge physical presence in the center of the pitch. The game lost its precision when he left. I'm going to pray he isn't out for the tournament... Along those same lines, Atuesta is playing quite meekly after his early yellow.
Atuesta sucks, no wonder he plays in the mls. Reyes mediocrity, not starting with Alvarado, that’s our next coach in the not so distant future after Queiroz inevitably fails, smh.
Just like Insaid. Horrible defense. Teran is so weak in this game, second goal because of him. Argentina is creating chances because of our lack of secure in the back.
Listen to those boos. I don't blame the fans for getting frustrated there was no reason for us to lose this match when we got such an early lead and had great chances.
My stream tapped out for a bit. Why was Carrascal taken out? Was he injured, or was this just Reyes' idiocy? Sigh. An opening loss is hard to overcome. And we got a lot of card in the process. Wonderful first half, can't ask for a better one. Carrascal and Benedetti are the best of course, but also Cetre who plays very well in the flank and did also against Argentine. Carrascal with a wonderful goal and asisst and this match will give boost of confidence foe the last two important games (Especially vs. Chile who won again).
Not yet. On a hebrew thread that I published a week ago I called him hyped player and overrated and I mentioned that he is very talented but usually makes more wrong decisions than right ones. In my defense, his performances in River were horrible. Not to question his talent, but he has TONS to prove. So far he does look the best of Colombia in both matches, I agree. and you know what? I pray to god that in two years from today I will publish a huge apology in this forum. Right now it looks good, still not enough.
