Interesting. Given the earlier comment (can't remember who said it) that they would not sign a HG unless he was 3rd on the depth chart (or higher). I wonder where they envision Morris? #6: Trapp, Artur, Berhalter #8: Nagbe, Artur, Morris
FC Kentucky is reportedly about to waive Adi. Given his history with Porter - and not his history of getting arrested - maybe we could find his lazy drunk ass a spot. And he's probably available cheap considering that FCK is going to have to cover most of his wage bill. Anyone want this clown?
I’ll take Hamilton but if he takes veteran minimum and shows he still loved the Game maybe take him if Zardes or Hamilton get hurt
Perhaps. On the one hand, backup F, #4 winger, and CM depth appear to be our areas of need. If my guesses on the roster are correct (and roster rules stay the same), we have 1 Senior spot, 1 Supp spot, and 1 INT spot available. If Cadden is not SR, we have 2. I'd be inclined to give him a look on the cheap, but ONLY if Hamilton, JJ, & Berry look like crap. I also still see CM and wing as higher priority. But if the FO sees Berhalter & Morris as guys who can play now & are comfortable with Jimenez (& possibly Hamilton?) as #4 wing candidates, then a more established guy at CF makes sense. We could waive JJ to create space.
If we could get him on the cheap, I'd be tempted. Hes a 6'4" 29 year old striker who scored 50 goals with the Timbers under Caleb Porter. Cincy paid them a million bucks for him 18 months ago. He had some injuries, some fitness issues ( which he denied), a bizarre arrest for driving 102 while blowing a 1.3 and using a Ukrainian drivers license and some kind of ugly problem with the new GM which no one will explain. So yeah, last year was a train wreck. But there's every reason to at least wonder if it was a one off and think that maybe, under a coach he knows and trusts and playing for an organization that's not a complete shit show from top to bottom that, yeah, he might grab at a chance to rehabilitate his image and get some revenge on Cincy. If not, well, this is a team full of mature professionals who sure ought to be able to keep him in line. Last year he was The Man and he didn't wear it well. In CBus he'd be a spare part trying to prove himself so that guys like Room, Mensah, Wormgoor, Mokhtar and Zardes don't take him out back and kick shit out of him. Like I said, for a cheap backup hitter, it may make some sense. And since Cincy is on the hook for his salary, well, that's just icing on the cake.

Sadly in order to be first, second or further down the line, you may have to fight the big guy, like it or not!
He has a huge ego. Thinks he’s way better than he really is. Too many issues. Even if he volunteered to play for literally free, I’d say 100% no. That, and when was the last time he was actually good? 2015? Why would anyone take the chance?
Near as I can tell, Adi has a guaranteed contract for 2020. Under than scenario, clubs that are interested in claiming him off waivers (and FCC doesn't seem to have officially placed him on waivers yet) have 48 to submit a bid. As per usual, league rules regarding who'd get him as a result if that process are vague, but one stated criteria is the club that agrees to take on the highest percentage of his guaranteed salary. I don't think that Adi necessarily gets to choose where he might go.
Sure, I mean after all, who'd want to live in the US when that garden spot of peace and tranquility Kazakhstan beckons?
I was going on the assumption that the guy is more or less radioactive and not many teams would touch him with a ten foot pole, but Porter has experience with him. Either way, offer to pay him 50k. If somebody else is willing to pay more out of pocket, then fine. I tend to play at the five dollar blackjack table.
The rumor of the player from Poland seems like a smart move. 27 year old NT player who started 2/3 of their last Euro games. Fills a need.
That rumor of Frankowski is from 2018 and he already plays on Chicago now. Houri just signed for a team in Eastern Europe.
