Perhaps the grass at the Camp Nou is not in mint condition, so they are considering Xavi to fix things.

I can't wait for this guy to bring Tiki-Taka back with an old squad that's incapable of playing that style. Then he'll use La Masia players and find out that his graduating class was once in a lifetime and they're inadequate for what he wants to do.

I'm calling it now this guy is going to do an Ole.

I was at the Spurs Liverpool game yesterday and I have to admit that the new Spurs stadium is phenomenal. It’s up there with the best in Europe and I’ve been to a fair few on the continent. I was in the VIP section with a friend and the atmosphere and service was superb.
Their 18,000 single tier stand was raucous! Not too dissimilar to Dortmund’s. A few pics from the match.

With Suarez out, we really have zero excuse. Would be a catastrophe if we don’t win the title IMO.

Exceptions happen more than once. Having said that, Zidane did come into a squad with great players still in their prime or just past it. Xavi would have a much tougher job.

Rafa Benitez was a CL winner and very experienced. How did that work out ?

Valverde may be good tactically but he is terrible at rounding up the troops and lighting a fire under their ass. He is a nice guy but he lacks the ability to inspire players.

Regardless, in Barca's case, he is at the end of the line. Even the greatest coaches get there at some point and a change is needed.

It’s clear that neither of you are a good judge of people if you can’t see that I’m an honest guy in my early 60’s .. so on the contrary I’ve been through extremely long periods where Barca were pitiful and had poor quality players .. I admit to being spoilt with the Pep Years where we played amazing football and the whole world talked about our play ..now we’ve gone full circle and somehow ended up with Roy Valverde Hodgson

Xavi is a snitch. Good job wanting a man that leaked every little detail to the press as your coach.

If that were true , leaking news is far from a morally reprehensible behavior in football that disqualifies you from being a manager . You would have gladly taken a guy who sucker eye pokes people back .

I should have thought about it. Barcelona fans admire Stoichkov, practically a criminal. Nothing is beneath a Barca fan. I wonder why Hristo wasnt on the short list. He's got the "passion" that Valverde is lacking apparently.

Hopefully Barca pulls the trigger on Xavi. I think he will flop.

But mostly i hope Barca does not do the logical thing and goes after the best option out there by far. Poche.

There is a rumor he is a top option after Xavi said no. But Pochettino has said in the past he would never coach Barca due to his Espanyol ties.

I think its unlikely too as his kids are Espanyol fans , he would look stupid if he took the job. I wonder if Man United are waiting for Poch!

I don't see Poch taking the job halfway down the season when even Xavi doesn't want it. Poch will have many options in the summer and he'd have to backtrack on his promise to accept Barca job.

If Barca want to embarrass themselves even more, they should fly out to wherever Pochettino now to offer him the job. There is about as much of a chance he's taking that job as there is of Pep taking a Real Madrid job.

Koeman apparently also has rejected Barca.

I'm so happy we won't have to see the psycho biter elbowing others or rolling on the floor when touched by the wind for the next few months. Too bad he won't be able to bite his colleagues during this period. Poor Luizito.

They're going trophyless. Their only chance is Copa del Rey if RM drops the ball against somebody else.
