I personally think Barca need a boost just like we did with Zidane - they can afford to slack on the tactics as long as a new manager restores the belief and allows them to play more freely, which I believe Xavi will do.

I honestly would have preferred Valverde to continue. Thanks for the memories, Ernesto!

Yea, he was solid for Barca. Who knows had Dembele made it 4-0 at Camp Nou against Liverpool. They had chances in the first half at Anfield too. Hope this backfires on Barca and Xavi turn out to be a novice coach. Many Cules were crying during Enrique tenure as well because he wasn't playing "Barca way".

Xavi rejects Barca move midseason. Open to joining in June.

So now what? They've publicly humiliated their current coach by going behind his back and negotiating with another coach midseason, and have been turned down. Can they actually continue with Valverde?

Btw, that's a smart decision from Xavi.

Does it matter? They are bulletproof to bad publicity, poor decision making, terrible behavior, etc.

Sport is now saying Xavi will go to Barca but after his team's cup final, which is this Friday.

Griezmann trash ... do you even watch football ??

He’s a great talent and always figures in the top 5 for Balon D’or ..

The problem has always been Valverde .. he has had the exact opposite effect on our players that Klopp has had at Liverpool

Huge L from our part if we don't win La Liga now. All Barca really have now is Messi.

Griezmann will probably play better with Suárez out. Now he can play through the middle.

Their wing options are limited now though. They need Dembele back

That’s not true at all wtf are you talking about. This is a team with 100’s of millions dollars worth of signings all over the pitch. No excuses.

The issue is Messi occupies that central space. Besides, Suarez was doing great stuff in Primera. Scoring goals and hustling defensively upfront. Huge loss for the imo.

This drastically increases our chances for success.

Valverde is easily better than many a guy with a job right now.
