Saw Dan Ball is following Fannon over to Iowa State. Any predictions on how soon Cian makes the same move? Or is he going to keep the lights on at BGSU?
If the ULM hire has been known since December by those close to the coach and/or programs.....they sure are taking a long time to announce And in terms of Potter/college coaching - there are many, many variables that go into winning at the college level.....a number of which the coach has no control over (not succeeding......because if you overachieve relative to resources and finish .500, you've succeeded) . However, I always find it funny when a coach who didn't win and gets fired then moves on to national program. Remind's me of USSF clinicians years ago..... recycled coached who couldn't win and/or had gotten fired telling candidates how to be a good coach...ha
There's these things they call "contracts." Schools and coaches do try to work through these contractual agreements for any amount of reasons. Paperwork has to be processed. And, if you know anything about public institutions, you should know that they aren't so efficient in operations -- especially during the holiday seasons. Who cares when they announce? The players and school know who is their coach. That's what matters.
Ok........dont get you're feelings hurt, I was just making an observation .......and its a forum, thought we were allowed to make such observations .....but I will refrain from this point forward since the players know, now you can relax ummm, I actually know quite a bit about working at public institutions and their inefficiency.......however, if you know anything about mid to low level D1 programs, you also know there isn't that much to "work out" contractually ......much of that takes place prior to posting the position due to HR....there isn't much, if any, "negotiation" once the position is offered , or accepted.
Did Dan Ball get a visa? I thought he was doing a PHD degree at Bowling green in addition to his coaching, so I assume Iowa State are getting him a work visa ? Matt Fannon hired another member of his staff Erin as the player development coach. Any idea who is other assistant will be ?
I read that “Erin Kielmeyer is entering her first season as Iowa State's Player Development Coordinator for Women's Soccer.” is that not a clever way of naming the volunteer position? And he would be bringing in another assistant?
D1....HC, 2 paid assistants (call em whatever u want), Director of Ops, volunteer, manager, blah blah
ETSU was filled by Jeremy Yelton, long time Samford assistant/associate head coach. Great hire for ETSU.
Can anyone confirm how many people turned the ETSU job down? Also does anyone know why Greg Sheen left Washington State?

Talked to someone who knows the WSU staff, Sheen did leave, no job lined up. Not sure why he left though.
Will the Penn asst accept the HC position? or go to Washington with NVD? What are the others waiting for? who are leading candidates for other positions?
My understanding is that she is in the last year of her contract. This Fall should be telling with a strong 2020 class that will be paired up with a pretty young group that got a good deal of experience this past Fall. I personally think they have the pieces to right the ship.
