He has nothing to write about. If we had a style of play, and could see DK and Ben putting pieces into place a season at a time, it might be enjoyable to see how we developed, but it feels too much like dumpster diving.
It is. Pablo Mauer was tweeting when the Colorado jersey leaked last week that this is our kit for next year. The only difference is that the wide cuff on the sleeve will be red. I've already tweeted that this jersey makes me profoundly sad. Once again, we just took the template and marched on. I am sure the little PSUs will get it, but I think I might continue marching with the 2016, 14, 12, 02 or Dips jersey's I own. You would think they would have learned something from the white undershirt debacle. Pretty sure the only people buying that shirt are the Real Madrid fans.
Two points: 1) You are assuming that MLS HQ allows individual team owners/investors to refuse to order the template uniforms that Adidas serves up annually and, instead, insist on ordering custom-designed kits. 2) Assuming that individual team owners/investors have a choice, you are assuming that Levien might care about such things as team uniforms.
There was an article at the beginning of last season from the athletics. DC Utd decision makers had at least 4 or 5 choices for the white away kit. So ur 2nd point is correct. Maybe they just dont give a ********.
I was going on your 2nd assumption. They had the chance to do some really cool things with our away shirt that were at least in some ways divergent from the Adidas templates. I don't even mind so much that they went with the template, but there were design elements in the Colorado shirt, which stuck to the template that we didn't seem to even touch, just went with the plainest of the plain within the template and as templates go, this is a throwback to 92-94 which was one of my favorite Adidas templates. My primary gripe is that our home is for all intent and purpose NJ's away shirt. Kindda makes me wanna vomit.
Also feel like we missed an opportunity to wear something similar to the 96 Jerseys given its the 25th season for the league.
Yes, especially with how hard their social media has been banging the retro, tradition, throwback drum the last 2 months.
In breaking news earlier today, DCU hired the recently available Bruce Allen as "Director of Fan Experience and Player Development."
Power is a fickle lover. Now that we have it back, I'm suddenly taken with the inexplicable urge to gerrymander the DCU front office.
What a great pass by Boskovic in the video link! https://www.blackandredunited.com/d...yne-rooney-rfk-stadium-lewis-neal-nick-deleon
Yep. and Bosko got the ball from another overlooked player, Hamdi Salihi, who had dropped back on defense.
BTW, how is the search for the new Assistant. Coach coming, you know, the guy management said was going to help Ben concentrate on, umm, whatever he is best at....?
Well, Ben did say he'd love to have brought Petke in last time he was available, but we couldn't afford him. I imagine he has a lower price tag these days.....
